Ashur's POV

"What?" I growled at Miles. I'm his mate? No, I can't be!

"You smell like freshly baked sugar cookies," He whispered.

"That doesn't mean anything!" I growled. 'Stupid Alpha! And I almost fell for it! I don't want a mate!' I started to fight to get off Miles' chest. 'Ashur please don't,' Cerberus whined. I stopped moving. 'Why?' I asked. 'He's not lying.'

I looked up at Miles' face to see hurt on his face before he looked away from me. I grabbed his face with both hands and made him look at me. His brown eyes studied my face as I studied his. "Are you lying?"

"No, I didn't lie. Why would I?" Miles asked. I let go of his face and looked away.

"That doesn't matter," I mumbled. I got up and started to walk away, but Miles got up and grabbed my arm. He turned me around to face him.

"Who has been hurting you?" He growled. I flinched and looked away.

"That doesn't matter."

Miles studied my face before pulling me into a hug. 'Don't trust him!' My instincts yelled at me. But I couldn't move. 'Why is he hugging me? Alphas don't hug.'

"Why are you hugging me?" I asked. Miles sighed and hugged me tighter.

'Ashur get your butt back here!' Mom's voice echoed in my head. I pulled away from Miles.

"I have to go back in," I whispered.

"I do too," Miles said walking towards the back door. I hurried after him. "I wonder what's going on."

When we got into the meeting room everyone looked at us questionly, but no one said anything. Miles and I slipped into our seats quietly.

"Now that everyone is here, lets get on with our meeting. Us Alphas have decided to send the Six to Blaze's pack cabin," Dad said. The other Alphas nodded while the rest of us stared at them in shock.

"But we don't know if we are really the Six," Amelia said with a frown.

"Even if you six aren't the Six, it's a great way for you to get to know one another," Christopher explained.

"You will go there tomorrow and stay there until full moon," Dad said.

"But full moon is in three weeks. You really think we can last three weeks together? Something tells me one of us will end up dead," I commented. Mom rolled her eyes at my words.

"No one will end up dead, baby," Mom said.

"Mom!" I yelled from the nickname. Blush creeped up onto my cheeks when I saw Miles smirking.

"Anyways, you will go no matter what you think," Dad said using his leader voice. "Meet back here tomorrow morning."
