Two Weeks into Their Stay

Ashur's POV

"Miles, can I take the blindfold off now?" I asked as Miles led me somewhere.

"Yes, now you can," He answered when he stopped walking.

I slowly pulled the blindfold off to see a beautiful sunset. Miles stood in front of me holding a red rose out to me. I took the rose with a smile.

"Oh, Miles," I said looking at the rose. I hugged him tightly. "Thank you."

"Anything for you my love," Miles whispered, hugging me back. I could hear the smile in his voice. 'How do I deserve you?'

-Rustle-

"What was that?" I asked looking over to where I think the noise came from. Miles quickly hid me behind him as the noise came closer. Suddenly, a little boy ran out of the bushes holding a little black wolf pup. 'Werewolves!' Cerberus yelled.

"Who are you?" Miles growled. The boy held the pup closer and whimpered.

"Miles stop you're scaring him," I said as I stepped around him. I knelt down to be shorter than the boy. "Hey little one, can you tell me your name?"

The boy looked at Miles before whispering, "Riley."

"Nice to meet you, Riley. I'm Ashur and that's Miles. Now who is this?" I asked pointing to the pup.

"My sister... Amy," Riley whispered.

Suddenly, there was a crash from behind them. Riley looked back in horror and started shaking. I quickly pulled him to me as Miles shifted.

'Ashur get them out of here, I'll deal with this,' Miles said through our mind link.

I picked Riley up and ran for the opposite tree line. He whimpered but held onto me with his free hand. I hid behind a big bush at the edge of the tree line.

'Guys we need you!' I shouted through the mind link that the six of us have.

'On our way!' Archie yelled back.

I sighed and held Riley and Amy closer to me. Riley whimpered while Amy shifted back into human form. 'So tiny. And skinny,' I noticed. Cerberus whined.

"Ashur," Serenity whispered from somewhere. Riley whimpered and pulled Amy to him protectively.

"Serenity? Where are you?" I asked.

"I'm next to you, Nova," She answered. I looked over to find her kneeling next to me.

"Now I feel stupid," I mumbled.

"Now is not the time," She said rolling her eyes. She stood up and held her hand out to me. "Come on, we need to get you out of here."

I took her hand and tried to get up, but I almost dropped Amy, so I sat back down. "Can you take her?"

Serenity nodded and picked Amy up. Amy whimpered as Riley growled.

"Don't worry, I trust Serenity. She won't hurt Amy," I whispered to him. He stopped growling but didn't take his eyes off his sister. 'Good thing Amy's asleep or this might have been a lot harder,' I thought as I followed Serenity away from my hiding spot. 'Thank Moon goddess for that,' Cerberus commented.

A few minutes later, we were back at the cabin.

"You're back!" Channing yelled when we walked in. He ran to us and started to scan us for injuries. "Are you hurt? Please tell me you're not hurt!"

"Alex calm down, we're fine," Serenity said with a chuckle.

"Alex can you keep your voice down? You're scaring him," I asked quietly. Riley had hidden his face into the crook of my neck when Channing started yelling. Channing looked at Riley and then nodded. "Thank you. Fawn I think we should take them to my room for now."

She nodded and followed me to my room. She carefully set Amy down on the bed before leaving. I set Riley down next to his sister. He instantly hug her to his chest and looked at me with a scared look.

"Hey, I'm not going to hurt you little one," I whispered. I slowly reached out my hand. He watched my hand until I placed it on his head, his eyes closed quickly, and he held Amy tighter. I slowly started to stroke his head. "You poor thing, you've been hit before. Don't worry I won't hurt you, and I'll make sure no one will ever again. Just rest for now little one, I'll wake you when morning comes."

Before I knew it, Riley was passed out. 'I should go check to see if the others are back yet.'

Just as I made it to the living room, the door swung open. Ford came jogging in carrying an unconscious Miles. My instincts kicked in like hell.

"What the hell happened?" I yelled as Ford laid Miles down on the floor.

"There was five of them," Archie said as he walked in kind of dazed. Amelia was beside him, holding his arm.

"Miles was fighting all of them before we got there," Amelia whispered looking away from me.

"They had him pinned and were going for his throat and stomach," Ford said. I looked at Miles. Serenity was already tearing off his shirt, there was teeth and claw marks all over his neck, chest, and stomach. Rage overtook my body as I ran to the door. Archie and Amelia caught me and kept me from running.

"Let me go! I need to kill them!" I growled. Archie held me to him as Amelia shut the door.

"They're already dead," He whispered. I stopped fighting and stared at the door before breaking down into sobs.

"Nova I need you to help me!" Serenity yelled. I shook my head. "Ashur, his injuries need more than one person to heal them! If you don't help me, he'll die."
