Whatever happened that day,
just know,
you're the reason why I chose to stay,
but the reason I chose to give up.

Korea is beautiful during the night, but the day seems to always be filled with love. Oh, love, such a complicated word, a complicated definition, and a complicated mess. Love is when you want the best for someone, being on the side that struggles staying in the light, being on the side where words from their head takeover. That's the definition of love, being someone's shoulder, being someone's guidance.
Byulyi had felt love before with someone she knew though it felt incredibly recent. They were different than everyone else. She remembered the days where they would skip school and roam the streets of Bucheon, buying themselves food while exploring the park, which is where they found ourselves most of the time. She remembered the days where they would climb the trees and sit on the branches. She remembered laughing at the time because the branch had collapsed, sending them to the ground in heaps of heavy laughter, even though the person she knew had broken their arm that day.
Tell me, when can I experience love again? Byulyi thought in her head.
She remembered being surprised as how much that person handled her so-called "greasiness" that they had nicknamed, which is now a term used by all of Byulyi's close friends, though she remembered vividly every single word she had said to them was true, coming from deep within her heart personally, but they had never believed that.
But that was okay, you loved it anyways. Your definition of love was different. Again, those thoughts race back to her in an instant. Avoiding them had been the most challenging mission in the world.
Only for them, they opened Byulyi's eyes to their world. And for them, they only saw her as someone who they knew would never leave their side.
But when they left, Byulyi closed her eyes to their world. When they left, all the lights flickered in the darkness, as if the stars had died in the sky. Byulyi knew she couldn't find someone like them again, but is that true?
Will I find someone like you?

Byulyi woke up with Daebak on top of her, licking and clawing at the soft skin of her stomach. Luckily his nails were cut beforehand. Releasing a groan, she extends her arms, giving him a rub on the head before sitting up in bed and placing Daebak on top of her lap. Haengwoon seemed to be asleep still.
The large window next to bed flooded in with bright sunlight, with the sky outside emitting a neutral pink tone. Barely any clouds in the sky were showing; perhaps this day wouldn't be so bad. The only downside of this apartment is that she is constantly temporarily blinded from the freakish sun. The process of being an oversleeper activated!
Now that's a morning call.
Byulyi rubs her eyes together, but the tiredness lingering around her still tried to bring her back down into slumber. Refusing that option is hard, so she somehow rolled off the bed as Daebak hops off and onto the floor, and she lands on the ground with a muffled oof on the wooden floors. Maybe she could fall asleep on the floor? Dismissing the thought, she then manages to stand up, entering the small kitchen of her humble abode. Byulyi reaches up in the cupboards to grab a tea kettle, filling in with water and allowing it to heat up.
