Sometimes the best way
to escape
is to consume
everything,
until you see the darkness.

"Why can't just you come over and talk to me for once?!" Yongsun yelled into the phone angrily, feeling the sweat forming on her warm forehead. She stood in the middle of the apartment, wanting to throw the phone off the small balcony so that it could break into a million pieces. She couldn't even control the millions of thoughts spiraling around her head at this point.

"Babe, I can explain..."

"You can explain? Well, go ahead! I'm waiting." Her voice became hoarse from how loud she was screaming. She could already feel the pounding sensation of an unwanted headache beginning to crawl its way into her head.

The line became silence for quite some time, and though she was a patient person, she could feel it slipping right away and she immediately knew that wasn't a good sign at all. For the past 2 weeks, her distant communication with Eric became smaller and smaller by the day. She already knew he was busy with his company, but it clearly made her upset that he never kept her up to date with things that go on with him.

And she has had many suspicions run through her head.

She heard some rustling on the other end as if he was trying his best to move around to avoid the conversation. She pouted her lips together in frustration, running hands through her unkempt blonde hair, spewing the ends of the hair on the bed. She just had the guts to just release all her stress onto her room without anyone being able to stop her. She wasn't overreacting; she just felt betrayed in many different ways.

"My company wants me to travel back to the states during Christmas break," Eric explained after all those long moments of complete and awkward quietness. "They are saying that being located back home will better the opportunities for me and I'm𑁋"

"Are you kidding me? And how long have you known about this?"

"I would've told you sooner but I..."

"Eric..."

"...didn't know how you'd react."

"Well I'm reacting right now and how do I feel? I feel betrayed."

"Yongsun..." Hearing her name come from his mouth made her stomach lurch. This boy was one of the main reasons why she continued to pursue a career into music. He pushed her to continue this journey even if it angered her or tired her. He motivated herto continue. Now she ultimately felt like she was being left in the dust. She loved music for hee whole life and has never held a strong passion for it until recently.

Yongsun always dreamt of being a singer or songwriter one day or even a vocal coach for people as long as music was involved. Becoming a singer would be extremely challenging but sometimes it's worth putting in the effort. She wasn't entirely set put on the idea of becoming known around the world; it truly terrified her.

"How... how are you even going to continue with classes then?" she asked, hearing a defeated sigh from him.

"If it comes to me accepting this offer, then I'd have to enroll myself in a performing arts school in the states then𑁋"
