I should have never believed
that look that was on your face,
or the words that you would say to me.
I just knew that you weren't
the right one for me.

"The party is tonight, Yong."

"Uh-huh." Yongsun replies, unbothered while continuing to scroll anxiously through her phone.

Eric places himself across from her on the bed, trying to look deep into the girl's dark, brooding eyes. For some reason the boy couldn't get himself to read whatever expression was on the girl's face anymore, while Yongsun was trying her hardest to avoid any eye contact with him. She didn't want to talk to him, some mild anger bubbling in her system.

Sighing, Eric stands himself up from the bed to grab a jacket before brightening up and facing the unbothered Yongsun.

"Why don't you go hang out with Ailee?"

The name makes Yongsun spring her eyes up from her phone alertly, frantically shaking her head to the question. Hanging out with Ailee? In her nightmares. That girl always found a way to degrade Yongsun until she was buried in the sand, and ever since she recently discovered that they both used to date, what the hell was even the point anymore?

"Why would I want to do that?" she proclaims, her tone a bit aggressive.

Eric shrugs, "I mean, why not? You two haven't had the opportunity to talk ever since we came here. Plus, she can help fix you up a bit for the party. It can be a sort of bonding time between the two of you."

Yongsun's jaw opens in dismay, eyes noticeably widening. She didn't know what to say, her mouth only hanging uselessly open and contact staring into Eric's somewhat confused state towards her. She watches as the boy grabs his phone from his pocket, turning it on and scrolling through his contacts and text messages.

"I'm going to text her to come pick you up in half an hour, okay?" he says while texting with his one hand. "It should give you enough time to get ready so you both can hang out. You've been cooped up here for way too long... when are they going to call you down to start your debut? I need to speak with the producers about that."

What if I don't want to debut? Yongsun thinks to herself, trying to clear her head.

"Anyways, I've gotta get ready for this single release and prepare for the party," Eric heads towards the side of the bed where Yongsun remained in her shell, leaning down to place a peck to her cheek before gathering some of his belongings into a large bag. "I'll see you later, and have a good time with Ailee, alright?"

And with that, before having anything to protest with him with, Yongsun could only watch Eric walk away from her, feeling the sort of strange string between the two of them slowly break apart in the middle. All of their intimate moments that they shared together suddenly became meaningless to her head. Maybe she was overthinking or overexaggerating everything like she always does, but for some reason, the sparks just weren't there anymore.
