The side of me that contains
the cloudiness and rainfall of my head

from the appearance of
your sun.

Somehow the rainfall outside made the world feel quieter. The black umbrella in her hands shielded everything from above as the hazy girl traversed through the hustling streets of Seoul, passing by families while she was the only one walking alone. Today, a gloomy Sunday, the world decided to cry for a day like a perfect plot twist.

Byulyi assured to herself earlier that she would go out exploring Seoul for a day, not knowing it would be almost storming outside (and thank God that she hadn't been rained on at all). Luckily her backpack magically kept a miniature umbrella that only fit for a single person.

It was too late in the day to go back home.

Not a single place she passed caught any interest to her picky eyes. She probably passed a dozen restaurants that ahe wouldn't be able to afford, along with furniture shops that contained items that weren't too pleasing to be put into the apartment. Decisions are hard to make.

The colourful signs sticking out of the various shops and parlours as people selling street food made the whole entire street glow like a colourful palette of moonbeams. The rain had decided to settle for now, making the girl roll the umbrella back into its slim shape and letting it hang from her fingers as she continued to walk, eyeing every possible name that she could see from my limited vision due to the fogginess in the air.

Her camera hung around her neck securely, hearing the wet footsteps of her shoes hit small puddles on the dark street and seeing the reflections of the signs on the water. She takes the device in herhands, turning it on and moving around to find a perfect angle to take of the brightly-lit street. Satisfyingly, Byulyi snaps a few pictures before settling herseld confidently, eyeing the photo in the virtual camera roll and turning the device off.

"Omo!" Byulyi exclaims quietly, a familiar smell of food drifting to her nostrils. She looks around excitedly, the smell coming from one of the locals selling street food.

The curious girl make her way towards the smell in a jiffy, landing in front of a little woman cooking some tteokbokki at one of the stands. Byulyi approaches in awe with her eyes scanning the favourited food with excitement.

"May I?" she points to one of the finished ones which contained a small stick full of them.

"6,000 won, please." the woman says politely.  Byulyi nods, fishing out some money from her bag and handing the lady the money. The woman counts it, giving a sweet smile and a motion towards the food. Byulyi grabs a stick, beginning to chow off of it. She remains standing in front of the stand as she finished the food, throwing it in the rubbish can next to the spot and bowing her acknowledgments to the woman.
