I search for love
in this lost world,
with my lost eyes,
within my lost self.

Junior year.

"Yah! Byul-ah! What is taking you so long to get ready?" Krystal's voice rang loudly across the bedroom, finding a distressed Byulyi still placed in the bathroom struggling to button up her long-sleeved white shirt. She could feel her heart beating fast inside of her chest as if it was trying to burn a hole through her skin. Her hands continued to tremble as she clipped the final button on her shirt before running some loose fingers through her long dark hair. She fanned her black pants to rid of any dust particles.

Byulyi anticipated this day so much ever since Krystal set her up to do this. Even though they've been friends for years, Byulyi has always been quite rejecting of having a boyfriend. Krystal has had constant on and off boyfriends throughout the years while she never had a single boyfriend.

The only good thing about this day is𑁋well, Byulyi doesn't think it should be considered a good thing𑁋that it's going to be a double date with Krystal and her boyfriend, Kim Jongin. Byulyi seemed extra nervous about and tried to talk her out of it, but she only insisted because she felt bad of her constantly standing in the sidelines. But to be honest, Byulyi would rather be in the sidelines. She felt more peace from being on the sidelines and it gave her more opportunities to observe more things and admire those around her. It made her conservative and more reserved, but she didn't mind.

She didn't need anyone else, she already had Krystal.

The bathroom door suddenly swung open, loudly slamming onto the wall and startling the girl. Krystal was in the doorway, making Byulyi's eyes widen to the outfit she was wearing. She wore a tight beige dress that distinguished her hips and showcased her shoulders, her brown hair was perfectly curled, and she wore some black heels to finish it off. Her outfit also came with a small black purse that hung by her side.

Byulyi's cheeks tinted to a light pink as she could only deliver a smile towards her.

"Wow, um," she muttered lowly, immediately regretting herself to talk. "You look... amazing."

Krystal snickered lightly, eyes scanning the flushed girl. "Thank you. You also look very lovely, except𑁋"

Byulyi only rolled her eyes, slightly blushing. "You know that I don't like to dress all girly and stuff. It's just... not my style."

"Yes, I'm aware, Conservative Moon." Krystal smirked as she adjusted herself in the doorway to allow the girl to pass through. She slipped past her in the door, hiding a smile on her face from the nickname. Byulyi hated wearing revealing clothes, not just because of her habits but in general. She felt more comfortable with wearing clothes that barely showed any skin or oversized clothing. She normally liking wearing clothing that can be suited for boys. She didn't mind though; it's her style and she liked it.

Byulyi even chose to wear the boys' uniform at school instead of the girl's. When she wore it to school for the first time, she had all eyes on her before they all got used to it.

"Do I really have to do this?" Byulyi slouched, pouting with her arms crossed like an annoyed little girl.

"Yes, and I promise you that it'll be fun. I'm sure you're gonna like this guy, plus he goes to our school. I've heard he's had a crush on you for a while." Krystal explained, with Byulyi giving her an undecipherable look.
