Where are You, God?

This is not an uncommon question, especially at a time we're in right now.

We suddenly start wondering, where is He? Is God sleeping? Did He forget about us already? Did He already give up on us?

Nope. He ain't sleeping and He's definitely not yet done with us for Him to turn His back and leave us dying of a virus. He is just simply moving. Stirring up His people who have gone cold—those who have forgotten their first love.

If you're not yet aware of this, then you better start filling up that vessel with oil lest you run out just when the bridegroom arrives and end up outside of the wedding celebration...together with the other foolish virgins. 😔

America is home to many of the revivals that brought forth mighty men and women of God that have been used powerfully in the past decades. Asuza Street Revival, Brownsville Church Revival, Jesus Revolution...etc. You name it. They had it and...they lost it.

Why, you say? Because many of them started falling back to sleep. They got so used to it and stopped digging and seeking deeper. They caught the "overfamiliarity" disease that is so prevalent nowadays within many of the Bodies of Christ. They're not even aware of the new move of God so when they see one, they think it's not from Him. This is a far-more scarier disease than the Covid-19.

Guys, we can't just keep reminiscing of the good ol' times. We can't keep on dreaming. We have to start getting down on our knees and go back to our prayer closets. We have to gear up ourselves because we are about to enter a battle that requires strong and firmly founded Christians. We are about to witness stuff we've never seen or imagined before. Not even those who have gone ahead of us. This is what the Bible warns us of. No "baby" Christian is going to last during the tribulation times.

And hey, wipe off that smirk. You better get right with God now. He may be merciful but He is also a just God. When He comes back, He's not like the Lamb that we read in the gospels. He'll be a roaring lion.

So where is He now? He is right there with you. Knocking on the door of your heart. When will you accept Him? Or if you already have, when will you start living your call? When will you stop beating around the bush and start doing what He's asking you to do?

God is not blind. He sees the suffering that we are experiencing and He's not happy about it. He's also grieving and weeping with those who are affected by this pandemic. But sometimes, we'll have to go through pain to see how badly we need a God to hold on to. How badly we need His strength to sustain us and keep us breathing until the next day and the next and the next...

God is calling.
