-Are you not going to the prom?- dad said, entering my room -I thought you already had the dress-

-I do, but I think I won't go

-Why? Is everything ok?

-Yes, I just changed my mind

It was friday afternoon, only a couple hours before the prom. Of course I wasn't going, not after what Wilbur did to me. I've been avoiding him the whole day at school, I tried to leave early and come home as soon as I could. Since I arrived, I just layed in my bed looking at the ceiling. I didn't want to think about it, I didn't want to think about anything at all.

Dad kissed my forehead, got up from the bed and left. I don't know how many time passed, but approximatedly half an hour later, I could hear how they honked outside my house. I recognized that sound, it was the time machine. I knew it was Wilbur, I didn't want to see him, but I went out anyway.

Luckily for me, it wasn't Wilbur. It was Carl in the red time machine, he helped me up.

-Did he send you?- I asked before anything else

-No, I came here because I don't think it's fair for you- he smiled at me -I need to show you something.-

He typed some numbers on the time machine, but I didn't see the exact date. We arrived and went to what seemed to the Robinson's house. He parked, we both got out and entered silently to Wilbur's room, it seemed exactly as it is now.

-You need to be very quiet.- Carl said as we were hiding -They'll be here soon.-

-They?- Carl didn't let me talk, he put his hand on my mouth and we both watched in silence

Vanessa and Wilbur entered the room, I couldn't hear the conversation until they were close to us.

-You think she'll like it?- Wilbur asked nerviously

-Of course she will, trust me

They were in silence for a couple minutes.

-You know, at first I felt displaced by [y / n], but I realized that she will do you good- Vanessa said, Wilbur stayed in silence and listened -I've never seen you look at anyone like you look at her, I've never seen anyone make you as happy as she does...-

-She does make me really happy, I have never felt anything like this for anyone...

-I'm glad for you, for both of you

They both just smiled. 'Why did you wanted to show me this?' I whispered Carl. 'Wait' he whispered back.

-Can we practice it again, please?- Vanessa nodded

Wilbur sighed, they were both sitting on the floor, but Wilbur was turning his back on me so I couldn't see what he was doing.
