🌞 NEXT DAY

Throughout this week Lisa and I still couldn't be together because of the rumor, we just passed by each other whenever we meet in the corridors.

So we just kept on messaging each other wihout being obvious.

It's the last day of the week and later I'm going out with Jisoo to mall.

Anew message from 💛 came.

"Are you free later?" -Lisa

"Why?"

"Let's explore the city~"

"Uh.. What time?"

"I don't know.. Maybe after training?"

"What if someone sees us?"

"No one will, you're always thinking of bad outcomes."

I left it on read.

"Let's go??"

She messaged again.

"I have.. plans later.."

"O-oh.. Is your mom around?"

"No.."

"Then who are you with?"

She's almost curious about everything.

"Jisoo..."

"Oh.. Where are you both going?"

Why is she asking about everything, I'm out of mind.

"Just somewhere?? Why?"

"Nothing. It's good that your okay now."

I haven't responded because the mentors were back.

"Please prepare for your performance next week! It would be performed on the weekend. You can use the practice rooms during the week."

We are now dismissed.


Jisoo and I met outside the building.

And we were dropped in the mall by her driver.

"So is there something you want to do today, Jennie?"

"Hmm.. Can't think of any! You're the one who invited me."

"Then.. Let's go inside the department!"

We went inside the department store and went to the makeup section.

"Wow!! This really has a nice shade Jisoo! Look."

I was referring to the lipstick.

I showed the shade excitedly which was on my fist.

"You're right!"

She held my fist and looked closely to the shade.

"It looks really good, you want to buy it?"

She asked and looked at me closely.

I stepped backwards slowly and looked at the other lipstick.

"I don't think so hmm.."

As I was looking around the lipstick section I suddenly remembered Lisa and thought which shade would look good on her.

"Jisoo, I think I'll be buying one.."

"Only one?"

"Hmm, yes? I don't think it's the right time to buy a lot now. Anyways, help me pick!"

I showed her two lipsticks.

"You're really not buying both?"

I nodded.

"The dark red or light pink, Jisoo?"

"Light pink? Hmm.."

She looked at my lips.

"Light pink won't suit you, dark red would be better!"

But it was actually not for me. It was for Lisa anyways I still followed her choice.

We went outside the dept. store and walked inside the mall.

"Did you know you really hurt my feelings so much when you said you reported me?"

Jisoo sighed.

"I still feel really apologetic for that until now."

I laughed a bit.

"It's fine! It's done now."

"I still feel hurt when you rejected my feelings.."

What -- Isn't she over that yet omg.. This situation is so awkward how do I --

"Just kidding! Don't be tensed!"

She laughed while bumping my arm.

"You're crazy I didn't know what to say!"

I hit her back lightly.

She laughed again.

"Jennie.. I realized.."

She stopped talking for a moment.

I looked at her.

"What?"

"I realized that we're better off as friends."

That line.. That's usually said for rejection. It's funny how she used it.

I didn't mind her words because I was lost in words.

"But I really missed talking with you Jisoo, really.."

"Yeah, me too.. Training felt boring for me!!"

We giggled and linked our arms while walking.

Suddenly..

Yeri and her other friends showed up.

She was walking towards us.

"Be ready, the a-hole Kim is approaching us.."

Jisoo whispered.

"Oh.. You're friends now? How sweet! Did you enjoy reporting your friend Jisoo?"

For Pete's sake she's getting on my nerves.

We didn't say a word. We felt like we were powerless in front of her but I just really didn't want to waste my time messing with her.

"Are you dating? Omg.. Is Coach Lisa and you over after the rumor?"

She looked shocked looking at our arms.

Then we removed it.

"Yeri, can you stop? We're just friends!"

Jisoo said with a loud voice but I tried calmed her down by tapping her arm.

"Why are you defensive?? You know I think I just really uploaded an article for that issue, it would easily spread around Seoul and that would make Jennie banned to train again."

She was looking at Jisoo eye to eye intensely.

What's seriously wrong with her?

"Yeri, please stop. I don't even know why you're acting so hard up to me.."

"It's because you're the favorite and she sees nothing but you during training! You should've been kicked because of the rumor but you were not. See? You're so powerful."

I was pissed off.

"Anyways, good luck to your performance next week but I'm sure you'd still make the owner proud even if you showed a bad performance!!"

Then she left.

When she already walked far away Jisoo and I looked at her.

"Urghh. That fvking Kim who doesn't even deserve to be sharing the same name as us! She's really something else!! A devil or what?! I don't really know!"

She said while making the typical angry hand gesture.

"Hey, just calm down first. Let's go grab ice cream to make your head chill."

We sat on the foodcourt facing in each other.

We already had our ice cream with us.

"You know what? I really want to report her for her attitude. She's the one who's supposed to be kicked out from the agency!"

"Right!!! And she's even very mad at me. I didn't even do anything personal to her."

"She's just jealous of you.."

We ate ice cream.

"But Jennie.. Do you know about the owner of the agency?"

"I don't know.. I haven't heard of the owner yet.."

"Oh.. Yeri told me it was Coach Lisa but maybe it's just a strategy to destroy you!!"

Why Lisa??

After going to the mall she dropped me on the road near home.

"Good night!"

I smiled excitedly while waving at her.

As I was walking a message came.

I've already exchanged numbers with the people I'm close to.

"Hope you enjoyed, have a good night! That lipstick will surely suit you!" -Jisoo

I was walking while reading it then I smiled.

Then I noticed someone walking near me.

"Lisa? Why are you still outside?"

We were walking towards the building.

"I went to the store.."

She looked kind of gloomy.

"What's that? Did you buy something?"

She was peeking at the plastic bag.

"N-no.."

I hid it. I wanted to wrap it properly before giving it to her.

"Oh.. Okay.."

She looked away then we went in the elevator.

She didn't say a thing until the 12th.

"Did you have fun?"

"Uh.. Yes.."

She didn't respond back.

We reached 13th.

"Goodnight, Lisa."

I bowed.

I hid the lipstick in the drawer then I slept.
