A/N:
I overslept and missed Yeosang's birthday VLive. *sads in the corner* but anyway, I would like to say I wouldn't be updating for a few days since I've been sick for the past couple of days. And take care of yourself to whoever is reading this! I learned it the hard way that to be sick in the middle of such a time could really scare you so don't forget to stay hydrated, eat your meals, drink your vitamins and most importantly, rest sufficiently!( 🎵 James Arthur - Falling Like the Stars )
Yunhee had always been afraid of feeling too happy. She was afraid of what they called as the calm before the storm. But for once, she wanted to believe that maybe from here onwards, every storm will cease to exist and if there happens to be one, she wouldn't have to weather it alone anymore.
The man pushed the door open to his apartment, allowing the lass to enter with her daughter in her arms. Yunhee stepped into his apartment, the woody scent welcoming her instantly. Everything inside was neatly placed and stacked, there isn't a single speck of dust and she figured he must've paid at least two different maids for the room to get to that level of clean.
"As expected from you, everything's spotless," she commented as soon as the two of them got into the living room.
"You know me," he replied as he pulled his blazer off, setting it down on the couch. He proceed with loosening his tie and eventually taking it off before rolling up his sleeves.
Seonghwa walked into the kitchen and the lass followed him, still carrying Eunbyul in her arms. She set her down on the bar table while watching the man grabbed onto the ramen packages from the top shelf and a pack of instant rice cake from the section below the one before. "My cooking skills rusted so would these two do for now?"
The brown-haired girl chuckled slightly upon seeing him trying to hold onto all the packages in his hands. She nodded at his question and almost immediately, the lad had turned on the stove to cook it up.
"So this is what it's like to watch your boyfriend cook for you," Seonghwa mentally paused upon hearing the title she bestowed for him. Not knowing whether he was ecstatic or feeling something that is far beyond that. Yunhee could only gulp as she realized what she had called him. She had wanted to use the said word for so long, it came out like water flowing along the stream.
"Guess it is," he replied, voice barely above a whisper, "now you know how I felt when I watch you cook from behind."
"Yeah like I just want to spend the rest of my life like this," Seonghwa turned around, his eyes travelling from the pot to her face that had a grin drew on it, "kinda want to spend the rest of my life having been able to watch you cook for me."
The man set down his chopstick as he walked closer towards where she stood, taking her face into his hold as he examined her face with a questioning look. Her eyebrows furrowed, confused as to why he was suddenly looking at her like that. "Did you drink something this morning? Or did you hit your head somewhere?"
She rolled her eyes, shoving a finger on his chest to push him backward. "I'm simply being honest with what I'm feeling, okay?" her eyes averted back to her daughter who was playing with a small toy they brought along. "And they're all things that I've wanted to say since a really long time ago but never got the chance to." Yunhee could feel her face heating up, with each word the she uttered. Seonghwa smirked upon seeing the sight before him, deciding it would be a good idea to push some more teasing remarks.
"Oh really? So you've been wanting to marry me since highschool?" The lass threw her head towards his direction, looking at him with her brows knitted even tighter. "What? I cooked for you in high school too, remember?"
