I bit my lip, glancing nervously around. This place was obviously becoming increasingly unstable, but Kurt and Storm still hadn't reappeared. Jean looked around, concerned. "Logan, where are you?" she muttered.

    Bamf! Kurt appeared, struggling through the swirling smoke. I struggled to my feet, stumbling into him. "Kurt!" I cried, wrapping my arms around his neck. Between him and Storm, they held an older man with an immense sadness in his eyes. Jean struggled forward, supported by the other man. "We have to go through the spillway," she said urgently. Our ragged group began to run as fast as possible. Kurt supported me enough to make sure I could walk, while holding up the old man with Storm as well. Jean was supported by the man with glasses, and the children all ran.  

     Right as we reached an exit, water rushed towards us. The children screamed, but the door slammed closed. A burly looking man ran forward. "You don't want to go that way. Trust me," he said wryly. He led us in a different direction. "There's another way out of here." One of the little boys stumbled and fell. He scooped him up, continuing.

    As we reached the outdoors and snow that came with it, Kurt's tail scooped my legs up. He sagged under mine and the other man's weight, but he didn't stop, despite his fatigue. We ran forward after the man, until he froze in a clearing. His eyes widened with disbelief. "The helicopter was right here!" he growled angrily. The dam behind us rumbled. 'We're going to die...'
