Zuria
That night"Girl, I'm so mad we couldn't go out tonight." Retta pouted as we FaceTimed each other while I did my face mask.
"I know. I just had a long day, Chile. I knew I wouldn't be in the mood for nothing else." I admitted to her, focusing on my face in the mirror.
Today had been a long day and all I wanted to do now was shower, complete my skin care routine then go to sleep so I was doing just that.
"I feel you, girl. I'm tired of this damn job and this damn nigga." She went on about her man, making me laugh.
"Girl, tell me about it." I slickly rolled my eyes.
"Oh yeah.."
"How are you and Mitch?" She went onto say after I said what I said and I shrugged, making her laugh.
"Oop. I know what that means.." She trailed off, making me smile.
"See this is why we need to have dinner, I have so much shit to talk and I can't talk to nobody else about it because everybody is always on his side or they'll run back and tell him." I rolled my eyes.
Retta was my closest friend, I knew her since high school. She knew everything about me and I knew everything about her. I could talk to her about anything because I knew she didn't have loose lips and the same for me.
"Girl, I feel you. I have so much mess to talk to you about too." She sighed.
"We'll figure something out." I assured her.
"But I'm going to call you later because I'm about to wash this off of my face then get in the bed." I told her as I looked down at the camera.
"Alright."
"I'll call you tomorrow or something." She told me and I nodded.
"Alright. Love you friend."
"Love you too, friend." She smiled before we ended the call and I sighed deeply once we did.
Wasting no more, I washed this mess off of my face before I dried myself off and walked back into the room. When I did, I went into the closet and grabbed one of Mitch's shirts and put it on. After putting on all of my smell goods and deodorant, I finally got into bed.
Laying there for a while, my mind wandered as I heard the downstairs alarm go off. I rolled my eyes already knowing it was Mitch and contemplating what I would say to him about this entire situation with Marley and Porsha.
Lord knows I was tired of talking to him about this.
In the back of my mind, I was over all of this shit but I knew I couldn't just give up considering I was the one who decided to stay. It's been six years, I had no choice but to deal with this now.
I'd already forgiven him.
Hearing him reach the top of the staircase, he walked into the room and I sat up slowly. Looking at him, he smirked with low eyes, letting me know that he was high as a kite.
"Why that face? It's 9:55, baby." He joked as I scolded him and his smirk slowly disappeared once he realized I wasn't playing.
"What I do now?" He sat down on the ottoman, removing his shoes and I still said nothing. I was simply trying to get my words together before I exploded from all of the events that took place today.
"What did you say to Marley's mom, Mitch?" I asked, just to see if he would tell the truth but best believe I wasn't expecting much.
"I ain't say nothin' to the bitch."
