Chapter 16: Unbelieve

Dimitri's point of view

Its been four months since I last saw my Roza. These four-month have been the hardest of my life as I didn't have the one person in this world that meant to me the most, and that was my Roza. But it's up to her; she knew I was here waiting for her with open arms.

Today was the one day out of the entire week that I taught self-defense classes. Lissa got this law passed that you didn't have to be a dhampir to be able to defend yourself, and other Moroi and royal Moroi thought it was a great idea as the guardian number was going down drastically. I would usually teach for about two hours,s and I would make them run and then make them spar against each other as they could learn better if they fight with someone who has the same strength as them. After I dismissed the class, I placed all the mats back into there place.

"Dimitri," I heard someone call me.

I turned around and saw Janine and Lissa standing there alone.

" Vasilisa, Guardian Hathaway," I said as I greeted them.

" We have come to tell you something," Lissa said as she pats the bench seat next to her.

I took the seat next to her, and Janine stood up.

" what is it?" I asked a little worried.

"it's about Rose," Lissa said.

" what's wrong with her? is she okay?" I asked, worried that she wouldn't be okay.

" calm down first, I don't know how to explain this, but Rose is pregnant. We are still doing some research as to how this all happens. Our theory is that it all has to do with the Catalypse attack what's making her body bearable to carry a child of the same race as her." Lissa said as she tried to explain to me and calm me down at the same time from my overreaction.

" why isn't she here where I could protect her," I said as I raised my voice at the simple fact that my Roza was out of my protection pregnant with our love child.

" Rose is perfectly protected by her father. Ibrahim has gotten more guardian to protect her as he wouldn't let anything happen to her. If people found out that she got pregnant by another dhampir like her, she would be treated like a lab rat, and so would your child. I won't allow my daughter and grandchild to be treated like ginny pigs." Janine said as she kept her voice calm, but in her eyes, you could see the anger that she had.

" I won't allow it either. Rose is like a sister to me, and that child she is carrying will be my niece or nephew, I won't allow them. I'm in the process of changing the guardian law that goes to guardian women and their child," Lissa said with much more authority.

I knew of that law that guardian women had. If they ever had children by the time the child was six, they had to be sent to an academy far away from there mother as the council thought that the child wouldn't interfere with there duty.

" Then let me see her please" I begged them both.

" My Roza needed me," I thought to myself.

" That won't be possible, she has a risky pregnancy as she is a shadow kiss, and she is linked to death. Lissa can't practice magic until she has given birth. I won't allow my daughter to go crazy, especially pregnant," Janine said as she got a little fear as she talked about her daughter and unborn daughter.

" I should be allowed to be with her; I'm the father of her child. Janine, she needs me, I beg you to let me be with her," I said to her.

Janine looked at Lissa as if they had a silent convo if they should allow me to go.

"Dimitri, I'm not going to lie to you, she doesn't want to see you," Lissa said.

Janine walked up to me and gave me a pad on the shoulder and said, "Sorry."

"Lissa, I have to be with her." I pleaded.

"Dimitri, there's something else you don't know..." She hesitated.

"What?" I asked Janine.

"She's remembers everything..and the thing that hurts her the most is what you acted like when you came back..."

She didn't have to say more. The thoughts of the last thing my Rosa said to me came rushing back. She has given up on me, but I haven't given up on her now.

I quickly left them be and went straight to the guardian tower what they didn't know that the royal guards had microchips placed on them as they were 24/7 with the queen. I as I entered the building, I noticed a good friend of mine from back home, and I quickly asked him for a favor and asked him if I was able to check the royal guardian's locator.

" who do you wish to find?" He asked, confused.

" Guardian Hathaway," I said as I kept my eyes on his just in case.

As soon as he heard me say the name, he quickly attacked me, but I was faster than him, and I quickly found a pressure point and knocked him out.

" Sorry," I said in Russian as I sat on the computer chair.

" Rosemary Hathaway," I wrote on the computer in hopes that I would find my Roza.

The computer started to scan around the whole globe. After a few seconds, it went for the United States and kept searching.

" unknown name, try again," the computer responded.

" Rose Hathaway," I wrote in hopes of finding her.

The computer scanned once again around the entire globe as it searched the name. I looked to my friend on the floor in hopes that he wouldn't wake up now.

" my love for her can never break," I thought to myself.

I was about to get up when suddenly I stopped as someone pressed a knife on my neck.

" Belikov, dear boy. You don't know when to stop, don't you. If my lovely Janine tells you not to look for our daughter, then I suggest you do as you are told so," I heard Abe voice as he pressed the knife more into my neck without drawing any blood.
