I woke up to the blaring of my alarm, turning it off and slowly realizing that I fell asleep at my desk while doing paper work. The papers were in alphabetical order, and I was on S, so I was pretty close to being done. I must've fallen asleep around 3 this morning then, huh. Two hours of sleep? Fantastic.

I looked over to Juuzou, who looked like he was asleep, but I could never tell. I grabbed my stethoscope and walked over to him, slipping it under his shirt and listening to his steady heartbeat. "You're still alive. That's good." I whispered, taking the tool out from under his shirt and setting it back on the night stand by the bed.

I had thirty minutes or so before I had to make my first round on everyone, so I decided to do more paperwork instead of trying to sleep again.

Suzuya, Rei

Oh, right, I guess I had to do Juuzou's paperwork too. His name was Rei?

Medical records:
Castration by unnamed ghoul
Blood transfusion by unnamed ghoul
Leg amputation by CCG surgeon Jean Saikon
Physical therapy by CCG therapist Haido Soo
Emotional therapy by CCG officer Shinohara

    Holy shit, Juuzou.

I didn't look back to him, just in case he was awake I didn't want him to know I was this shocked about all of that. I simply cleared my throat, opening the file work on the blood transfusion and the physical therapy. I read the pages to make sure there wasn't anything I could've messed up during my work. When I was done I began typing up all of the work I did on him for the new medical records and moved on to the next person. I didn't really care, I just really didn't know.

I've seen a few other medical records like that, and I know damn well that "unnamed ghoul" is the work of abduction and torture, but castration? You don't usually see that one listed.

Damn.

I got about three and a half people done before the second alarm went off, telling me that it was 5:30 and I had to be a functioning human again. I turned the alarm off and put my healing uniform on, which was a bit too tight over all of my wounds to be comfortable. I left the room and did my thing, this time going to every person and putting my stethoscope on their hearts and listening to the heartbeats, making sure they were existing and steady.

Although there were many injured CCG officers who weren't hurt badly enough to come here, these men and women were still considered the lucky ones. The amount of people that we had lost in the past couple of raids was astonishing, and these people were being treated by me, so they were pretty much guaranteed not to die.

I made my second round after collecting the towels and food the CCG officer provided me with, thanking him and telling people to line up for the showers again so that we could be done sooner. I waterproofed many bandages while completing my second round and headed back to Juuzou to check on his and my wounds. I hope he isn't angry at me, I got kinda pissed at him yesterday.

I opened the door slowly and flicked on the light. Juuzou stirred a little but didn't wake up, so I made my way to him. "Juuzou, you have to wake up for a little bit, okay?" I placed my hand on his hand and squeezed it. "I need to check you out and then you can go right back to sleep. I know that it's kind of early, I'm sorry."

Juuzou opened his eyes, taking in a big yawn and stretching his arms out in front of him, letting them fall back to the bed. I removed his shirt and took the bandages off of his chest and neck. People who were tortured usually had bodies that were accustomed to healing without medical help, so whenever they did get medical help, their bodies healed extra fast. I suppose it made more sense now. "These look really good, Juuzou. With more luck, I'd say you could be out of here in two or three weeks." I said, trying to sound excited for him but too goddamn tired to achieve my goal.
