(Okay but manga Juuzou is just 🥺🥺🥺)

I went to sleep lonely that night. After I climbed into my bed and remembered how I had slept the nights prior, I felt like I was missing something. Like I was empty and cold. I wonder, was Juuzou feeling the same wherever he was? I remember seeing him fight for the first time and thinking he wasn't human. No one really knew him, I mean everyone seemed to know of him, but what was he really like other than eccentric? Did he even have another side to him? Of course, now I knew the answer to that question.

. . .

I woke up to the dreaded sound of my alarm after having a night lacking warmth and dreams. I decided to get up at the earlier alarm, knowing that I probably wouldn't have fallen back asleep anyways. I made coffee from the espresso machine I smuggled into my room and sat back on my bed, opening the window and smelling the morning. The scent slightly smelt like smoke and blood, with the mix of rain and breeze. It was good to feel the wind in my hair nonetheless though, I mean, I hadn't left the house in like a week.

The window was closed before I started my first round, actually talking to the medics for once and making sure each and every person was breathing and feeling just fine. "I'd like to thank you for all of your help, I'm sure I haven't been the most pleasant in the past week, but with your help we were able to save so many people." I said to a medic.

"Th-Thank you (y/n)! All I really did was mess up bandages and get you the materials you needed, you did all of the hard work!"

"Nonetheless, I really needed you and you were there. You are a very promising medic, thank you."

The shy blonde girl may have been older than me, but she hadn't been studying medicine for half as long. She was dedicated and kind, I could tell. After speaking with her, I had similar conversations with the other medics in the other rooms. I ended up in the girls' room, filled with all of the women in the house. They were all doodling on each others bandages and casts, while looking at the yearbook type thing that the CCG released last year to celebrate all of our achievements. My photo was in it, but I wasn't smiling and my face was covered in cuts from the raid I had participated in the day before.

The girls weren't focused on my page, but looking at Juuzou's page. I walked towards the spot where the were crowded and took a seat in the circle they had formed. "(Y/n)-chan! We thought you left!"

"Juuzou Suzuya, huh? Why are we all looking at his page?" I said, to which the girls became excited.

"Why wouldn't we be!" One of them said before giggling and being lightly hit by the girl sitting next to her.

"Look at him! I mean, his dark hair is just- I mean- and have you seen him fight?" Another girl chimed.

I laughed. "He is quite handsome, isn't he?" I replied, which was met with nods and more gazes at his picture. He was smiling softly in the photo, but looked a bit distracted. Nonetheless he was beautiful, and it's no surprise that the girls like such a fast and precise fighter.

"We saw him walk by our room the other day, is it true he's staying here? What room is he staying in?"

All of the girls looked to me and I sighed. "He actually left to go back to the fields yesterday. He's a powerhouse and CCG needed him."

They looked down for a moment until one of them piped up. "He looked like he was still really hurt just a few days ago though! How could you let him go back! He could kill himself!"

I sighed. "I tried to stop them from taking him, but my authority on these matters can only go so far. I couldn't stop them, it wasn't my decision." One of the girls huffed after I said that, but none of them said anything else. I got up and left the room, suddenly feeling like an enemy instead of a guest star.
