When a Healer Loves a Killer

Flashbacks

Juuzou and I were sitting on the couch watching one of our favorite shows. His head was resting on my lap and I was playing with his hair. The show was about ice skaters who had met during a party when they were both completely drunk, and neither of them remembered it. "Could you imagine meeting someone while blackout drunk and then forgetting?" I remarked.

"Yeah, it's like when we met, (y/n)-chan!" Juuzou exclaimed, his head turning to look at me.

"What do you mean?" I asked, my hands stopping their movement. "We met when you came to my house after the invasion, remember?"

"Nope! At our promotion party you got super drunk and danced with me! I figured someone had spiked your drink so I stayed with you the whole night and then brought you back to your squad house!"

NANI?!?

"You're joking. I thought someone from my squad brought me back!" I said, completely flabbergasted.

"You were so cute~ you even used pickup lines on me~" Juuzou mused, sitting up and nuzzling into my neck.

"I- I can't believe this. Why have you never brought it up?" I asked, grabbing his cheeks and bringing his face to meet mine.

"I didn't want to embarrass you~ after all, figuring out that you threw it back on a special investigator while drunk would totally fluster you!" He remarked, pecking my lips.

I felt a blush merge onto my face. "I- I threw it back on you?!?"

Juuzou giggled. "It was nice! I enjoyed my night very much."

"God, I hate you! How could- how could no one tell me?"

"I'm pretty sure everyone there was either drunk or sworn to secrecy."

I sat there for a moment and stared at him, fully processing the information I was just given. Suddenly I felt a smile emerge onto my face as I cracked into laughter. "I- of course I would do that!" I laughed, smiling even more when I saw Juuzou start to laugh as well.

"It was a great first impression." He added, making me laugh even harder.

"Oh, I'm sure."
