Chapter2: These voices in my head get loud

Leigh-Anne's POV

Useless... Talentless...Ugly

The voices in my head call out. Taunting me, degrading me. It's not like they're lying in any way. I had woken up while Perrie and Jade were watching Cinderella. I slid off of the couch trying not to disturb Jesy. I walked into the kitchen to grab a snack when I got a instagram notification. I took my bag of crisps and went to the island to sit down. I was looking at pictures when I noticed someone posted a picture of me. I decided to read the comments just to see what people would say.

As I scrolled through the comments,one comment caught my eye. "Leigh-Anne can't even sing I wish she would just leave the group. She's just holding the other girls back." As I looked at the comment I scrolled and saw more like it. I then heard, " You know they're right. You're holding them back. Don't just leave the group, leave this world. Just end it all." The voices get louder and louder each word taunting and degrading.

I started shaking my head trying to shut them up. Tears fill my eyes as I re-read each word over and over again.I then hear a knock and I look back to see Jesy standing in the door way. She walked over to me, opened her arms and just waited. Instantly, I flew into her arms and started sobbing. " Why don't people like me?", I question to Jesy. She sighed before she answered, " To be honest I don't know why. In my eyes I see a beautiful, intelligent, talented young woman who's achieving her dreams.", she finished with a smile. I then heard the voices louder than before, " She's going to hate you eventually." Then the other spoke. "Exactly, I don't know how anyone can like you". I whimper and cling to Jesy tighter. I'm not crying because I'm upset.

I'm crying because I know they're right. Even thought Jesy has told me multiple times that her and the girls would never hate me, I still worry. Jesy started playing with my hair and I almost instantly started to calm down. Little by little my sobbing turned into small sniffles.

Jesy's POV

It broke my heart seeing Leigh-Anne this upset. We were sitting in the kitchen just slowly rocking back and forth until she calmed down enough. When I heard her stop crying, I held her at arms length and took in her state of being. Her eyes were wild, red and puffy. She was looking around as if someone would jump out at any second. At this distance I could also see she was shaking quite badly. I held my hand out, " You don't need to be on your phone right now. Give it to me and I'll give it back when I think you're ok enough to deal with all the social medias", I say with no room for argument. She turns around, grabs her phone and slides it into my pocket, as she goes back to hugging me. She's gone mute meaning she's upset. I sigh before I start speaking again. " The reason I've come to find you is that Jade and Pez wanted to go to Nandos and I was inviting you, but seeing the state of mind you're in, you have to come.", I say looking her in the eyes. She backs up a bit and nods while walking towards the stairs to go back up to her room.

Jade's POV(surprise)

Perrie and I were waiting for Jesy and Leigh-Anne on the couch when Leigh comes through the lounge with her hood over her head looking down. She starts going up the stairs and disappears into her room. Jesy comes back into the room and says,
" We're all set to go we just need to wait on Leigh."
Perrie groans dramatically, " Ugh! She's taking so long can't we just leave her?", she ask with a whine. Jesy glared at her and Perrie shrunk away. Jesy sighed before answering, " She's not feeling well right now so she going to be a little slow today.", just as she said that, Leigh-Anne comes down the stairs with the same outfit but her curly hair is pulled back into a low ponytail.

Perrie cheers loudly and says, " Finally! You took forever.", while rolling her eyes. I see Leigh-Anne look down as she mutters a small, " I'm sorry". Jesy breathes out a frustrated sigh and moves to the door. "Perrie one more word out of your mouth and we're not going anywhere.". I nudge her side as if saying "shut up" and she just huffs and walks out the door. I look at Jesy and she just smiles and ushers me out the door.

Leigh-Anne's POV

As I hear Perrie's complaints, the voices start to talk. " We told you. They're starting to hate you. Then the other voice started talking. "It's bound to happen, they're all slowly going to turn on you. First it's going to be the blonde, then the cute one, and lastly your oh so sweet Jesy-wesy. I close my eyes and start shaking my head. "You're lying. You don't know what you're talking about.", I say out loud. Jesy looks at me concerned and tells me to come on so we can leave. I take a deep breath and focus on nothing but the ground below me. I look up to see Jade and Perrie in the car talking. " I bet they're talking about how much they hate you." I shake my head hard and fast hoping it would be enough to make them leave me alone. I feel Jesy put a comforting hand on my shoulder and I lean into her touch.

I feel her slightly push me forward and I start walking again. As I make it to the car, I get in the passenger side as Jesy climbs in the drivers side. As Jesy pulls off, I feel a tap only shoulder. I turn around to look at Jade. "Pez has something to say to you.", she says as she gives Perrie a warning look. Perrie looks at me and starts talking. " I'm sorry for what I said earlier, I'm just really hungry and wanted food.", she says with I pout. I give a small crooked smile and say, " Don't worry about it, it was my fault really.". I see Jesy shake her head disappointed out of my peripheral vision and I feel a sense of guilt spread through me. Perrie just smiles and leans back into her seat leaning her head on the window.

The rest of the ride is quite as we make our way to Nandos.

A/N also if anyone actually reads this you should like let me know so I can update it, cuz I'm very lazy but I have big ideas for this book.
