Chapter 11: Going Cali

Leigh's POV

I wake up in the blanket fort alone and stretch. I crawl out and get met with my three favorite girls. "Morning ladies. What are we doing today?", I question smiling at them. They all return it with a straight face. "We need to talk.", Jesy says standing up. "What's going on? Why do you all look so serious?", I question laughing. "We talked and we decided that we don't want you here anymore.", Jade says standing up next to Jesy. "Y-you're joking right?", I ask looking between both of them.

"No we're not. You're useless to us. You don't belong here.", Perrie says walking closer towards me. "B-but we're sisters. Together forever. Don't do this please.", I beg. "It's been decided. Even management agrees that we would do better without you.", Jesy says again coming closer causing me to back up into the wall. "You said you'd never leave me. You'd never prove the voices right. Don't do this to me Jesy. Please you guys are all I have to live for.", I say letting tears fall down my cheeks.

"We don't care. You held us back all these years and now we may finally be taken seriously as a girl group.", Jade says as she comes closer. "I just want to say one last thing to you.", Perrie says looking me in the eye. I drop my head and sigh in defeat. "What is it?", I ask. "Wake up.", she says. I snap my head up and look at her. "What?", I question confused. "Wake up. Come on Leigh wake up.", I hear as I jolt up from my pillow.

"Are you alright? You were mumbling and shifting around in your sleep.", Perrie says as she hovers over me. I lock eyes with her and see the confusion floating around in them as I grab her into a hug. "Please don't let me go.", I whisper in her ear as she looks back to Jade and Jesy who are looking down at us concerned. She nods as she sits down fully and holds the embrace longer.

After about twenty minutes of silence, I break the hug and wrap the nearest blanket around my body. "You maybe want to tell us what that was about?", Jesy questions softly. I shake my head slowly and lean into her, resting my head on her chest. "I just- I need to be hugged right now.", I say closing my eyes again. "You just sat here for twenty minutes hugging Perrie.", Jade says coming closer. "I know. I just, I want physical contact right now. I don't want to be alone because I feel like I'll do something stupid. I need one of you to keep my grounded.", I say sitting up again.

Jesy's POV

Leigh-Anne looks me in the eyes as she says that last sentence before laying her head back down again. I motion Jade and Perrie to come closer, and they step behind me and lean down. "I need you two to go grab something for me. Go up to my room, and look for a green book. Do not look in it. Just grab it and a pen on your way down.", I say looking between them. They nod as Jade pulls Perrie up the stairs and round the corner. "Come on, let's move to the couch.", I say standing up bringing Leigh with me.

"No couch!", she yells. "Alright no couch. How about the chair? Is that alright?", I ask making sure I don't scare her. "The chair is fine. The chair is ok.", she repeats, like she's stuck in a trance. I nod and slowly make my way over to the chair, sitting down and situating her on my lap. "Here you go Jes. We couldn't find a pen, but we found color pencils.", Perrie says. "This could work.", I think to myself. Leigh never has drawn her feelings before, maybe this could help her get her point across better.

I guess I'm zoned out too long because I see a hand waving in my face. "I can go find a pen if color pencils don't work.", Jade says as she gets ready to leave. "No color pencils are fine thanks girls.", I say smiling at them. Jade nods and Perrie smiles before pulling her into one of the back rooms to play. "Alright, I wanna try something different Leigh. Usually, you write your feelings down in a poem, but you've told me that you can't fully get into what you're thinking. So why don't you try to draw how you feel?", I end looking down towards her.
