As they made their way home from the shrine, Lord Tsukasa ambled a few steps ahead, leaving (Y/N) to follow behind, her thoughts racing.
"I'm really sorry," he called back, a hint of guilt in his voice. "I shouldn't have dragged you into my mess. You ended up spending the whole day with me because of my misunderstandings."
"Oh, come on! No need to apologize," (Y/N) chimed, quickening her pace to match his. "It's my fault for not saying anything sooner. Honestly, I had a blast today!" She flashed him a bright smile, hoping to lighten the mood.
Yet, despite walking shoulder to shoulder, an awkward distance still hung in the air between them, as if they were both tiptoeing around a sensitive topic.
"..."

The silence felt thick and a bit clumsy, and (Y/N) couldn't help but recall the disappointment that had shadowed his face earlier.
"Let's go back. I'll see you home," he finally broke the silence, staring straight ahead, his voice steady but with a hint of lingering sadness.
"Okay!" she replied, determination lighting her voice. They walked on, the sunset painting the city in a soft, warm glow.

'Why is it so quiet now? We were having so much fun earlier!'(Y/N) thought, wishing for a way to shake off the heavy atmosphere.
Before long, they arrived at the front of (Y/N)'s family shop.
"Well then... Thank you for today," Lord Tsukasa said, turning to face her, a flicker of a smile on his lips. But it didn't quite reach his eyes.
"Uh...!!"
Her voice slipped out before she could catch it, and he spun around, surprise sparkling in his eyes, as if he was eager to hear what she'd say next.
"Er... If you wouldn't mind, I'd love to have you over for another meal sometime. Maybe one that's not shrouded in confusion?" she added, playful mischief in her tone.
"Sure! I'd really like that," he replied, his smile finally brightening as if a weight had been lifted.
"Awesome! Just give me a heads-up so I can prepare something special—no premade food this time!" (Y/N) winked, and for a moment, the air between them crackled with a lighter energy.
"See you then!"
With that, Lord Tsukasa waved, his expression relaxed and cheerful as he began to walk away. (Y/N) watched him go, feeling a mix of excitement and warmth blooming in her chest.
