I'm so exhausted. My whole body system needs rest. A very good one at that. Today's discoveries is nothing but tiring. I've just left Sophie's place and on my way home. I remember Sophie didn't want to leave Miss Paige's house without seeing the magic mirror - magic mirror of Nostwire.
On our way back, she complained, "it's totally not fair. I did not get to see the mirror...""But we will have it all to ourselves tomorrow, right?" I told her with a headache she was giving me already. At times she gets so obsessed in getting what she wants. I'll be the one to talk to her like she's a toddler, and calm her down reassuring her that she'll get what she wants at the right time.
"I know." she whined again, "but..."
I rolled my eyes. There's always a 'but' cause she never fully agree to things. "Tomorrow's gonna take long. Tell me, was it that big? can it swallow an airplane? what color was it?"
Luckily for me..."we're here, Soph. Have a good night sleep and I'll see you in school tomorrow okay?"
"Whatever you say." she turned to go inside. "see you too Beck"
"Goodnight". I smiled at her
"Nightie. Dream of me or forget about waking up"
"I will"
"Good." she closed the door.
What did I do to deserve such an amazing friend in my life? I asked myself in my mind.

I got back home by 6pm. Chloe was in the sitting room watching a movie on Netflix. I really need some sleep and that won't happen anytime soon if Chloe sees me.
Tiptoeing to the stairs was the hardest thing to do at the moment, considering the fact that I am never quiet. But I can at least try to..."What are you doing?" I heard Chloe ask
Dang it
"Um..." I could hear my bedroom calling me"Where are you coming from...this late?"
I turned to face her, "is it that late? this is just six"
"Still late, and you know that cause you're trying to sneak to your room. You're not up to eighteen yet to be coming home by this time"
"I will be. I just need some sleep. Where's mom?"
"She'll be a bit late. Maybe nine or ten, she will be back"
"Okay. How's school?"
"Ah! little sis, whatever you do, don't study medicine and surgery"
I chuckled, "someone's getting tired of studying"
"Nope. Not tired. Just stressed out"
"I see. Well, I'm not planning on following your footsteps and study that. I'm not even into science, remember? I'm into arts. By the way, I'm starving."
She resumed her Netflix, "there's this southern fried chicken mum made and erm...what's the name of the food she saw online and tried..."
"... tacos?"
"No. Yes! Poutine. That's the name, Poutine. It's delicious that's why mom left some for you to try when you get back."
"I'll take both"
"I knew you will" she smiled.
Of course. Who doesn't know I'll take the two dishes. I think I know who my soulmate will be; a chef.Perfect!
After my dinner and shower. I jumped into bed with so much joy. Could this day get any better? I picked up my blue teddy and cuddled up so tight.
"Goodnight teddy", i said to it.
