The entire next week went by in the blink of an eye. It was 4 in the afternoon on Friday and everyone had gone home. The only people in the school were a few teachers, some council members, and the janitors. Among these people were Kim Eun-Bi and Choi Soobin, who were in Eun-Bi's office discussing some ideas regarding the joined annual event with YG High.
The rough layout of the event was done and they were pretty satisfied with it but the only problem they had now was their performance. Eun-Bi wanted it to be breath-taking and spectacular but not only were they missing a fourth singer, but they were also nowhere done with the song. They both tried their best, sat brooding for hours but still, no idea.
If they wrote a song about studies, it wouldn't be appealing to the audience but they had none experience in any other thing-yet.
Eun-Bi chewed away the back of her pencil as she stared at the blank piece of paper. Soobin's forehead was wrinkled in deep thought and distress.
"Ugh, I give up!" Eun-Bi threw herself back in her chair, grunting.
"Ditto." Soobin rubbed his eyes with the heel of his hands, anguish written all over his face.
"Can't we cover a song from the internet?" Soobin pleaded with his eyes.
"I don't want Dong-Wook to call me a plagiarist, or worse, non-creative." She jolted her head forward, displaying the seriousness of the matter.
Soobin stood up from his chair and stretched his back, his bones gave a cracking sound.
"I'm done here." He said as he walked out of the room, leaving behind an offended Eun-Bi.
She gave an incredulous gasp as he left the room.

Soobin's elbows rested on a railing, his body stiff from sitting that long and his mind no longer functioning properly.
Love.
Love would be a great topic.
The kind of love you were scared to show.
Nah. He shook his head, denying it.
He heard the sound of boots clunking against the ground as the source slowly approached him. It was Eun-Bi, carrying two cans of coffee. Her long, jet black hair bounced with every step she took and as the sunlight fell on her face, it illuminated her unnoticeable features. The dark brown eyes, that'd resemble an angel's when seen under the right amount of light, the arch of her eyebrows and, the attractive unperfectness of her cupid bow, it all bewildered Soobin.
He felt electrified, the hair on his body slightly standing up as the girl came nearer.
She walked up to him and gestured for him to take the can. Soobin was too overwhelmed to react until she pressed the cold can against his cheek, snapping him out of it. He gasped as the coldness of the metal froze his cheek.
"Sorry for interrupting your contemplation." She said as Soobin took the can.
"Did you get any good ideas?" She opened the can and sipped the coffee.
"Yeah, I did."
Eu-Bi quickly turned her head towards him with googled eyes.
"Wha- Tell me!" She shouted.
"How about..." He said mustering up some courage.
"One-sided love?"
Her face dropped and her curious expression changed to a frustrated one
"One-sided?" She huffed, disappointment in every word.
"Are you out of your mind?! Dong-Wook's gonna be there, remember?"
Dong-Wook, Dong-Wook. It's always about him
Soobin mentally cursed him. His feelings were crumbled like a piece of paper and it agitated him. Well, normally, he handled it pretty well but right now, neither his mind nor his body was with him. He was on the edge of the cliff of madness. So he grabbed Eun-Bi by her shoulders and pulled her closer, hurting her shoulders as he did so.
"You might be hurting someone other than yourself by caring about that douche bag." He growled, his face only inches apart from her.
Her cheeks went bright crimson and her brows furrowed as the upset boy snarled at her.
"Soobin..." She said, her voice shaky as tears formed within her eyes.
Her teary eyes brought Soobin back to the consciousness of his actions and he instantly let go of her.
"I- I-" He stammered trying to explain his sudden outrage.
"It's okay, idiot." She tried to alleviate the tension in the atmosphere, clearing her tears with the back of her thumb.
Way to go, Soobin.
"Nana's probably worried now, I'll get going." She said as she swiftly turned around to avoid this interaction. She had only taken two steps away when Soobin held her by the arm, pulling her towards him and embraced her in a hug. He tightened his grip as he began to talk.
"Hey, I'm sorry, okay." He whispered into her ear, putting his chin on her shoulder.
"I promise I won't do that again, ever."
"Sheesh, Soobin. I'm not mad at you." She said in an undertone but loud enough for him to hear.
"If anything, it's my fault. I shouldn't drag you trying to surprise that idiot. I think it's about time I stopped caring about his opinion and everything."

Eun-Bi was walking back home now. She had decided to sing at the event, not for Dong-Wook but for enjoying herself and as the conversation between her and Soobin came in her mind, she instantly became a red mess. Her body was crimson all over. Hugging wasn't that big of a deal when they were younger but now, it's different. It made their hearts race and their minds would go numb. Soobin, Dong-Wook, Irene, and Eun-Bi grew up together but none would've thought it back then that they'd all end up like this.
Why was Eun-Bi so determined to spellbound her former friend? Let the story unfold this.
To go home, Eun-Bi had to pass through a park. It was most of the time empty and Eun-Bi would often study there and so when she passed it today, she heard someone singing, behind the trees and on a swing. His voice was so stable as he sang an upper note and breathtakingly attractive. She couldn't help but listen to it.
[A/N]:
Wait, did I say cute interaction? I must've messed up. Sorry. Also, you'll get to know a lot about Dong-Wook and Irene soon, till then, Ciao.
