8:53 pm:
Sigh...
Eun-Bi couldn't concentrate, her thoughts would wander off mid-sentence and she had a headache. Frustrated, she closed her books and plopped down on her bed. Her locks were scattered on the bed as she tried to collect her thoughts.
~Flashback~
"We aren't mad because you broke the promise," Soobin shouted at the guy in front of him, anger boiling in his blood.
"We're mad because you didn't tell us."
Irene and Eun-Bi scowled at the other boy, contempt flooded their faces.
The boy clutched at the paper in his hand tightly and grinned his teeth before he gave a vexatious grin.
"What's wrong with you people?" He spat out to Soobin.
"People outgrow one another all the time. We can't stay together all the time, we won't grow like that!"
That drew the line.
"This isn't outgrowing. It's plain abandoning," Eun-Bi's voice broke as she jumped into the conversation.
"Dong-Wook, I can't believe you!" She fled off with tears in her eyes.
'"Eun-Bi, wait!" Irene went after her friend as she shot Dong-Wook a glare.
"You're duller than your stupid girlfriend." Soobin grabbed him by the collar and growled in his face.
~End Of Flashback~
Eun-Bi sat up with a jolt as she groaned in pain. She needed to get her mind off of the past. She went downstairs and saw her grandma in her nightgown, her hair rolled in curlers and her eyes fixated on a book. It looked like a romance novel from its cover.
Nana's still young, huh?
Granny looked up from her book and gave a 'what you up to' expression. Eun-Bi pointed to the front door indicating that she was heading for a walk and to that, nana rolled her hand around her neck, telling her to wear a muffler before she went out. Eun-Bi did as she was told, put on her shoes, and went out.
It was chilly outside and as a frozen wind whirled past Eun-Bi's body and made her shiver, she mentally thanked her granny for the muffler. She put her hands in her pocket as she headed for the park.

She had called Irene to come to meet her and they both sat down on a bench as they stared at the night sky. The sky was breathtaking that night with stars dispersed on the pitch-black sky as iridescent pixie dust. Eun-Bi's sorrow didn't let her appreciate that.
"Something's bothering ya?" Irene asked as she glanced at her.
"It shouldn't be," Eun-Bi responded.
"Is it Dong-Wook?" Irene made a wild assumption but it wasn't so wrong at that.
"I guess..." Eun-Bi hesitantly answered.
"Are you on periods?" Irene joked to ease her.
The corners of Eun-Bi's lips lifted a bit.
"Cuz it definitely looks like that."
"Hey, do you think it's petty of me to still think about him like that?" Eun-Bi asked, hoping that Irene'd say no and soothe her, tell her that it was okay and when the time was right, she'd get over him with little to no effort but Irene believed in 'no pain, no gains' and even though her methods were harsh, they somehow always worked.
"Two years is a long time, you know..." Irene turned her face towards Eun-Bi.
Two years really is a long period but when bruises are unrealistically deep, they take a long time to heal.
"But taking into account that you were, er, hurt the most and still have to pretend like it was nothing, it only stands to reason that you'll need a lot of time to get over the...well, the trauma."
That was gratifying, she wasn't a crybaby after all.
Eun-Bi felt relieved after taking it off her chest and after chattering a while more, the girls went their ways. That night, Eun-Bi went to bed all relieved.
As the first rays of the morning sun scattered on the Earth and the birds came out of their nests to find food for themselves and their newborns, Eun-Bi woke up to the sound of her alarm. She had a most scrumptious breakfast of toast and eggs and went to the park to study. There were only newspaper boys on the streets going about their business and Eun-Bi sauntered to the park as she listened to a mesmerizing playlist on her way.
The park was hidden behind a cluster of trees, so it was Eun-Bi's little secret, mostly. Somedays, a few people would show up there, but it was chiefly an abandoned garden. Today, when Eun-Bi arrived, there was someone there.
On close observation, It turned out to be the boy from yesterday, Yeonjun. He was on the same swing he was sitting on yesterday. He seemed to be so engrossed in his thoughts that he had been oblivious to Eun-Bi's appearance. She walked up to him and waved her hand in front of him but no response. She tried again, but he didn't budge. At this point, her face was right in front of him, and yet, he wasn't acknowledging her.
It felt like the perfect opportunity for a little mischief.
She pouted her lips and moved her head forward, but the boy didn't even bat an eye. She was irritated at that and so, frustrated, she thrust her head further and just moments before her lips were about to touch his, the boy came back from the clouds. Surprised, he fell off the swing with a thud.
"What, in the name of the heavens, were you trying to do?" He spat out as he fell on his butt, his legs dangling on the swing.
"Taking advantage of a young, handsome, and pure man?"
"Eww, gross. I just want you to get out of my park, that's all." She straightened her back as she stood up and pushed back her hair.
"Your Park?" The boy pulled his legs out and stood up, dusting off the dirt from his butt.
"This is public property, ma'am."
