I opened the closet door and looked inside. I stared shocked at what I saw. He really is rich. I mean look at these clothes! I said to myself staring at the beautiful dresses that looked like what a queen would wear. I skimmed through the dresses, only a few took my liking. I pulled out the three I liked the most and put them on the bed then stood back. Looking at all three at the same time I picked out the middle one. It was knee length purple semi-formal dress with a bow on the side. It was also one of the few dresses that I would actually wear, because I will not wear a corset even if it were to save my life. I put the other two dresses back and put the dress I choose on. Wondering what to do next I pulled the string on the wall and a bell rang. Soon a young girl, who could not have been any older the seventeen, opened the door and stepped inside.
"You called ma'am?" She said closing the door behind her. "What do you need help with?"
"Eh? Oh I was wondering where I'm supposed to go? Or if someone was going to come to my room and get me" I said sitting down on my bed. She walked over and sat next to me.
"Your brother is going to come get you later. Would you like me to do anything else? Do your hair perhaps." She said taking a piece of my hair and twirling it with her fingers. I raised my hands and smoothed down my hair, pulling the strand of hair she had from her fingers.
"No thank you, I am perfectly capable of doing my own hair. But thanks for the help, you are dismissed" I said shooing her toward the door. I felt mean pushing her away like that, she did not seem to happy about it either. I just sat down on my bed and drifted off into though. Before I knew it a knock on my door rang through my ears. I jolted up from the bed and stumbled to the door. I pulled open my door to see who was there. It was that maid again,
"Your brother sent me up to get you" she said looking at me then rolling her eyes and mumbling something under her breath.
"What was that young lady? I suggest you tell me, unless you want me to get you fired" I said and smirked. She just rolled her eyes again and gestured for me to follow her down the hall. I stepped out of my room after her and followed. "So are you going to tell me what you said?" She stopped and turned to face me.
"Your lucky. To have a brother as rich as yours. I have to work for my money, I don't get things handed to me on a silver plate when I ask for them." She said in an angry tone of voice. She then turned back around and began to walk as though nothing had happened. I stood there for a moment shocked she just said all that. I had to almost run to catch up to her by the time I started walking again. I followed her down stairs and to the front door. She opened it and allowed me to walk through before closing it on my back. I stood there and looked around. There was a car driving toward me and a man to the left of the porch waiting, at least that's what it looked like. As the car got closer to me the man walked closer to where the car was going. Just as the car stopped in front of me he walked up the steps of the porch and grabbed my wrist.
"Hey! Let go of me!" I yelled in protest, trying to wrip my wrist from this man's grasp, but he had ahold of me well. He was able to drag me to the car and shove me inside. He closed the door of the car and the car drove off. I watched the house dissappear into the distance. Just before I could no longer see the house I saw someone walk out followed by my brother, who preceded to knock out the man who had shoved me into this car. While the man who walked out with my brother walked, no ran, to the garage . Soon enough there was a car quickly catching up to the car I was in.
