no role modelz blasted through the aux as saiyr drove through the neighborhood of sherman oaks, on her way to her parents house. saiyr was staying there since summer vacation started two weeks ago and would be staying there until the beginning of september where she would go back to living in the shared apartment with her best friend, candace. saiyr entered the passcode at the gate and made her way into the driveway. 

since her dad was a chef who owned restaurants and her mom was a lawyer with her own firm, her parents lived quite lavishly in the seven bedroom, nine bathroom house. when summer is over, only her parents and younger brother, amari occupy the residence. amari is currently sixteen and goes to school at sierra canyon. i exited my car and took out my house keys and entered the house. "ma! daddy!" knowing my yelling would get their attention, i made my way into the living room and finding them cuddled on the love seat. 

"didn't you guys here me calling?" my mom smiled as she looked at me. "hey baby, and yes we heard your ass yelling. we didn't respond for a reason." 

i rolled my eyes playfully and made my way to them and sitting on top of their bodies. "here this lil girl go." my dad huffed and flicked me on my forehead. "momma, daddy is hitting me." she rolled her eyes at us and continued watching the tv. "deron, stop hitting the girl." 

"me?!" 

"yes, you." he rolled his eyes and put me in a light headlock. "daddyy." he chuckled and released me, allowing me to put my head on his shoulder while my legs were across my mom's lap. our comfortable silence continued until the front door opened and closed and in walked my younger brother, amari. 

"i thought cuddles were reserved for weekends?" he dropped his gym bag on the floor and sat on the couch, cuddling into mom which she welcomed. "cuddles are reserved for whenever 'mari." 

that was how our day was spent.
