saiyr was nervous. the eighteen year old was making her way to a pizzeria to meet with shareef for the first time.
the two had been talking ever since the day he dm'ed her and had exchanged numbers. she could honestly say that she was feeling him just a bit and the feeling was mutual although sai didn't know that yet.
she pulled up to the pizzeria shareef had told her to meet him at and she breathed in and out for a minute before stepping out her car. she made her way inside and scanned the place, her eyes settling on the tall, lanky yet muscular figure of shareef. he was looking down at his phone and hadn't noticed her yet so she decided to text him.

shareef looked up and locked eyes with her, a smile stretching across his face as sai made her way to him. he stood up and opened his arms to envelope her into his arms and saiyr melted instantly. he smells so good. her five foot five height was tiny compared to his six foot ten one but shareef loved it. damn, she fits perfectly into me. they pulled apart and moved into the booth and just stared at each other.
a pretty brown skinned girl walked over to us and smiled at us both although i did see her eyes linger on shareef a bit. "would you guys like to have a minute to decide on what to order?" shareef looked at me for approval, to which i nodded and he nodded at her. after she left, i picked up the menu and scanned through it quickly. "you know what you want? or do you wanna share?" i looked up from the menu and to shareef who was looking at me expectantly.
"i don't mind sharing to be honest. what do you wanna get?" shareef looked at the menu quickly then looked at me. "meat lovers is good with me. some wings on the side too." i nodded. that sounded good to me.
the waitress came back and took our order and after she left, we just stared at each other again until shareef chuckled. "why are you so shy? you're not like this on text." my cheeks reddened and i looked down before looking at him again. "i can't help it. you make me nervous." he licked his lips and nodded. damn. "you don't have to be nervous around me, sai. now let's get to know each other more."
and we did.
we shared stories and laughs as we waited for our food and even after we finished eating. i got more comfortable with him as time passed and i could tell he did as well. he was quiet and sweet. he would wait for me to finish a story before he asked a question and i listened when he told me his. he had a nice vibe to him and i could tell we complemented each other well. he told me about school and how it was to live in louisiana since he had transferred to lsu. i told him about studying social work at berkeley and wanting to work with kids especially.
i really enjoyed my time with him and i hoped we spent more time together.
