There was only one thing ever on my mind anymore and that was Nate Maloley. I used to think his friend Gilinsky would be my husband but ever since I saw Nate at Gilinsky's party, I knew what I wanted.

Of course, me and Gilinsky have a past. We've had sex. And a lot of it. No one really knew though because we never dated, and at parties I'd pretend to be knocked out until enough people left, and then we'd be between the sheets until the morning.

But that all stopped. You see, I was at one of Gilinsky's parties and I went to get more shot glassed. But once I turned around he was right there and I ran into him. It knocked the glasses out of my hands and they broke.

"Shit look what you did" I said before looking up and seeing Maloley. "Oh" I looked to the ground for blushing.

"Sorry babe" he whispered leaning into me ear. His raspy voice made me even more nervous and mixed with the alcohol, I tried to pick up the broken glass but fell, jabbing a piece of glass into my hand.

"Fuck" I mumbled. Then I caught sight of blood running down my wrist. "Fuck!" I yelled and ran towards the bathroom.

I ran my hand under the water and tried looking for rubbing alcohol, but there wasn't any. There was a knock at the door.

"Open" I said and looked to see Nate himself enter.

"I'm so sorry" he said.

"It's fine" I mustered. He turned off the water and sat me on the toilet. "I need to clean it" I protested.

He laughed and poured his drink on it. The pain was searing and I freaked out a bit.

"It's okay" he said to me. "Just let it clean your hand."

"But it hurts" I replied. I began getting a headache, so i closed my eyes, leaned back and let the cold wall press against my head.

"Shh" he soothed. I guess I was making moaning, so he took my good hand and held it with both of his. Once I stop he took  me back out there still holding my hand and sat me with him and the rest of his "squad" they were taking turns passing a joint. When Gilinsky saw me hand in hand with Nate, his eyes widened as he watched us, dumbfounded. That night I didn't stay for Gilinsky.

Ever since then Gilinsky threw me confused looks hoping I'd come up to him. But that was the last thing I wanted to do. I wanted to be with Nate. Nate wasn't afraid to hold my hand in public. He wasn't afraid of people seeing us together. He just wasn't afriad.

Even Johnson, the only one that knew about mine and Jack's affair, asked me why I never stayed after the parties any more. I didn't know what to say, so I lied. I told him I got in trouble and had a curfew. (A 3 am curfew, that's believable) but he believed it. So for now I was okay.
