Chapter 47

Ahsoka POV

Before I went to bed tonight I requested if I could do anything away from the temple. Some Masters told me that a group of younglings are going to the gathering tomorrow so I instantly accepted the mission. It wasn't going to be a fun mission, but at least I can get away from (y/n). How could he do this to me? And how could Barriss do this as well? I thought (y/n) truly loved me. But he's just after a good time. 'Please Soka. I love you.' I heard his voice resonate in my head. 'Liar!' I yelled back. He didn't love me, he didn't push Barriss off. I thought we were meant to be together through the force, but I guess I was wrong.

(y/n) POV

You woke up early in the morning, all you thought about was Ahsoka during the night. 'How do I fix this!?' You lay back in bed trying to think of all possible scenarios. If you get people to tell her how much you love her, you don't think that will change her mind. In that room was only Barriss, Ahsoka and you. And Ahsoka wouldn't believe you, so maybe she would have to believe Barriss. You didn't want to, but you might have to.

You waited a couple more hours until you thought it would be a suitable time to talk to Barriss. You walked towards where her quarters were. Saying you are nervous is an understatement. You approached her door and took a deep breath. You set your comm link to recording so you would record the conversation. You took one final breath and knocked on her door.

Barriss POV

I woke up early with quite a big smile on my face. My plan was working. I have known that Ahsoka and (y/n) were close for a while now. Since they are both obviously vulnerable to their emotions, I felt it best to use them for my new plan. I was quite proud of myself after that kiss yesterday, it was perfect timing. Right now I'm thinking of how to prepare myself for talking to (y/n). I have installed bugs into both his and Ahsokas room, and I heard him talk with Padmé last night. I'm pretty positive he will confront me this morning. And speaking of (y/n). I wonder who is knocking at my door?

(y/n) POV

You patiently waited for Barriss to answer the door. You didn't know what to say so you were just going to go with it. The door opened and you saw Barriss' tired face. Immediate anger flows through you.

"Hi Barriss." you say awkwardly.

"Oh...hello (y/n)."

"May we talk?"

"...Sure." you entered Barriss' room and closed the door behind yourself. You stood in front of the door and kept your robe on because you didn't want to be here for very long.

"Why did you do what you did yesterday?"

"I did it because...I have feelings for you (y/n). Ever since I keep seeing you more and more it makes my heart explode." Barriss admits. 'Oh My. This is...not what I expected.'

"By why did you kiss me? Without warning, without asking, why?"

"I think I gave you plenty of warning when I placed my hand on your thigh. But it's not like you didn't enjoy it. I felt you kiss back." Barriss says innocently.

"No I didn't. I'm sorry Barriss but I will never love you or feel about you that way. And now you've lost my respect after what you've done."

"Please (y/n). I know you're just trying to hide your feelings, I know it is wrong to have this kind of relationship, but you have nothing to fear." Barris consoled approaching you, this was not going to plan.

"Come on Barriss, just admit it, and realize that I didn't kiss you. And I don't want to be with you, and I never will." you concluded, trying to intimidate her and make that message as clear as possible. Barriss just shyly nods in reply. 'I need words!'
