Chapter 83 | Darth Sidious

Today was another day of investigation. You've been thinking of any possible ways to speed this up because you thought 'If no one has found him yet, how am I going to find him?'

And that is why you were here. Right now, waiting outside the solid steel chamber which holds Maul. At the moment, Maul really seemed as the only possible option to finding Sidious. You don't want to go as far as taking Maul with you, but you're going to try and squeeze every last possible information out of him that you can.

The large metal door slid open and you saw the large metallic box once again. You entered the room and the door shut behind you, sealing off any outside air or light. You took time to check that the cameras and microphone haven't been replaced and to your surprised, they weren't replaced.

You walked up to the trap and opened it. Once opened, Maul's legs fell back out onto the floor beside you. You averted your gaze from his legs back up to his face and shot a wink his way as you pressed the button to take his mask off.

"Well...what a pleasant surprise to see you again, (y/n)." Maul huffed, sucking in the fresh air around him.

"I appreciate your flattery."

"Hmm and let me guess why you are here. Is it because you haven't found Sidious, and you know that the only way to find him is through me? Just like I've been telling you the whole time?" Maul assumed. And it hit you that...yes, Maul had kind of been right this whole time.

"Partially." You replied affirmatively.

"I cannot find Sidious at the moment, but I know there is a specific detail to all of this that you are not telling me."

"Is that So?"

"You were going to tell me last time Maul, but you didn't. You were about to answer my question about any planet he is associated with and you slipped up."

"Did I know?"

"You were about to name a planet starting with an 'N' but you stopped yourself...Because you knew that it would be all I need to find Sidious." You spoke confidently. Maul just glared at you. He knew you were right.

"So, tell me Maul? N'zoth, Namadii, Nazzri or Nuswatta?" (Sorry, last time I accidentally put Neimoidia in there, small mistake, sorry)

"You're forgetting one." Maul states blankly.

"I know, Naboo is one, but there isn't a chance that Senator Amidala is Sidious." You laughed.

"Are you sure about that, (y/n)?"

"You told me yourself Sidious was a male, and I saw him. Don't you try and confuse me Maul." You threatened, waving your index finger at him. But that did start to make you think more about Naboo.

"I never told you that (y/n) you just-"

"Shut up!" you interrupted him, since his calm and slick voice was disrupting your thoughts. You started to think about why Maul would care for you leaving out Naboo.

"You and your Master were on Coruscant together during the Naboo invasion correct?" You asked pointedly. Maul hesitated to your question, so you gave him the hurry up by pulling your lightsaber from your belt and igniting and holding it so dangerously close to his throat.

"Correct!?" you shouted.

"...Correct." Maul breathed. The Naboo invasion was basically the start of the war against the separatists. That means Sidious must've been working already. And...if Naboo is the planet I'm looking at, then the senator at the time must be him. Which means...

"Palpatine." You breathed in shock. Maul was shocked too once you said his name. He must've known, and now you've figured it out.

"Sheev Palpatine, that's him isn't it?" You asked Maul upon disbelief.
