Forbidden | Ahsoka x Reader

Chapter 4 | First Mission

A few days had now passed since learning of your master's secret ability. Over these few days you have just been training, meditating and reading, the normal boring Padawan stuff. At least it was a lot better than having to talk to politicians all day. Right now you were meditating silently in your room, which had its silence broken by the beeping of your comm link.

"(y/n), Master Piell has been captured by the separatists with important information, he is being held in the Citadel, we are planning a stealth mission to rescue him, come to the briefing room as quickly as possible." Master Plo informed you quickly and directly when you answered the call.

"Yes Master, I'll be there right away." You replied. This sounded quite serious, so you quickly got up and headed for the briefing room.

Along your walk you couldn't help but feel nerves building inside of you of the possibility of going on this mission. 'Isn't the Citadel a maximum security prison?' You wondered.

Upon entering the briefing room you saw Obi-wan, Anakin, Commander Cody and your Master standing around the holo-table. Captain Rex was also there as a hologram with Fives and Echo behind him. You had worked and got along with everyone here before, but everyone here is the best of the best. You wondered why Ahsoka wasn't there though. 'She went on all of her Anakin's missions didn't she?'

"So, Master Skywalker, where is Ahsoka? Doesn't she usually go on all of your missions with you?" You asked, stepping to stand beside your Master.

"Not this time, I don't feel comfortable letting Ahsoka in such an evil and dangerous place." He replied. You wondered why you were here, but you know that your relationship with your Master is different to Anakin and Ahsoka's.

Your Master rose his hand in front of you to stop your small talk with Anakin, he proceeded to bring up a hologram of the Citadel.

"As you are aware the Citadel is the separatists most isolated and impenetrable detention facility. No one has ever escaped." Your Master announced.

"Well there's a first time for everything." Anakin said like it was nothing

"Indeed, there is." Obi-wan added.

"Their security has prevented our probes from obtaining recent reconnaissance, so we've been forced to construct a crude map, based upon data from the archives." Your Master clarified gesturing to the tall spike looking skyscraper.

"And since the data is extremely old, the map will be difficult to rely on." Obi-wan stated.

"So, we're essentially going in blind?" Anakin asked

"Beg your pardon, General, but how do we know Master Piell is still alive?" Rex interrupted.

"The separatists won't dare kill Master Piell until they have what they need." Obi-wan answered confidently.

"He obtained the coordinates of a secret hyperspace lane known as the Nexus route." Your Master said. The 3 Jedi then discussed how the Nexus route could lead either side to easily attack the core planets of their alliances. Once the briefing had been complete, your Master took you to the side.

"(y/n), I will not be accompanying you on this mission, you will be going along with Skywalker and Kenobi."

"Without you?" You recoiled.

"Master I know I said I was open to taking up the responsibility, but breaking into a Jedi prison without you there, that's a big ask." You responded honestly.

"I trust you (y/n), this mission will test your courage and strength, without me there this will bring you a huge step forward to becoming an independent Jedi Knight." He replied. You looked away towards Anakin and Obi-wan who were in conversation. 'At least I know I have two very strong Jedi with me.'
