Chapter 44 | Love in the Open Plains

You drove the small speeder slowly and carefully through the gorgeous landscape of Alderaan, towards the city. You were sitting down in the driver seat with one hand on the joystick and the other around Ahsoka. There was plenty of space for her to sit next to you, though she chose to basically sit herself in your lap. She had her arms gently wrapped around your neck and her head was snuggling into the crook of your neck. Occasionally she would leave a soft kiss.

"I love (y/n) Kryze!" Ahsoka shouted, scaring you slightly.

"What was that for?" You chuckled.

"Well, this might be the only time I get to shout it out loud." She said, leaning back into you.

"I love (y/n) Kryze!" You boomed loudly, at the top of your voice.

"Hey!" Ahsoka scolded you.

"What?" You stammered, trying to stifle your laughter.

"That's not funny." She claimed, in a low and quiet voice.

Playfully rolling your eyes, you scream out "I am so in love with Ahsoka Tano!"

"There we go." She approves, a smile widening on her lips.

"That did feel great actually." You admit. Not having to worry about trying to hide your intimacy is such a welcome feeling, of course one you wish you could always have.

"I love your smile." Ahsoka cutely states. That makes your smile grow. Leaning down only slightly gets you close enough to push your lips against hers. Your lips molded against each other. Her soft lips provide an indescribable feeling of love and comfort. Whenever her lips moved against yours it was in instant reminder of the love she has for you.

"So, would you like to do anything before we go to the city?" You asked.

"I don't know, what were your original plans?"

"Uhh, you know I never planned anything further than just Alderaan." You admit with a chuckle.

 Ahsoka rolled her eyes and pulled herself closer into your side. Her legs were on the soft seat and her knees were resting in your lap. "Well, we can do whatever. I don't care, as long as its with you." Ahsoka mumbled against your skin. No response could make you love her more.

Your gaze floats around the Alderaan plains. "There's a nice lake over there. How about we just go for a nice walk." You suggested, pointing to the pool of blue water, not too far in the distance.

"Is that all we're ever going to do? Walk around water?" Ahsoka questioned playfully.

"Then you suggest something." You said. Ahsoka pulled herself up to also survey the area. She only looked for a couple quick moments.

"What if we walk around that lake over there?" Ahsoka pointed to the same body of water. You looked back at each other, and your eyebrow raised. She let out a giggle and let her head fall onto your shoulder.

"Great idea." You said. You eased the speeder towards the lake that stood at the foot of a small mountain with a dense forest surrounding its waters edge. Your foot gently adds pressure to the braking system until the speeder came to a complete stop.

You quickly jumped out of the speeder, to provide a hand for Ahsoka to get down. But she completely ignores your gesture, gets up and effortlessly flips out of the speeder.

"Show off." You mutter. Ahsoka just smiled and pulled your arm around her small frame, and it rested on her opposite shoulder. No more words were spoken as the two of you slowly began to walk to the edge of the lake. Ahsoka's arm snaked around your waist. You held each other close as you walked around the rim of the lake.
