"My mother's name was Sidra Rose and my father's name was Maxwell Bast. When my mom became pregnant with me she was shunned away from the Bast family since I was created out of wedlock." Lennon looked up from her coffee to see that Draco really was paying attention to every word that came out of her mouth. "My mother homeschooled me in Romania and never let me see the real world. She feared I would be judged for being a bastard child, which ended up hurting her more than just sending me to school. I eventually took my NEWTS without my mom realizing. She was at work one day when I snuck out and went to the Ministry of Magic in Romania. I passed everything very highly, but not because of my mother's teaching. When she would go to work, I would sneak off to the local wizarding library to study." Lennon was at the easy part of her story, and Draco couldn't help but understand she was not only doing this for him to get to know her—but helping herself heal. "When my mother found out what I did, she was so angry..." Lennon let out a sour chuckle and paused her story to take a sip of her coffee, she was surprised to see Draco so interested in hearing her speak. "I was nineteen at this point, but she still treated me like a child. We eventually got into a big fight and I moved out to a small cottage in a different part of Romania. I got a job and met my best friend..." Lennon let out a deep breath and closed her eyes to relive how they met, "It was my first day training and a really handsome guy walked in. I had never had any help with social skills growing up so I shyly stayed away from him and worked quietly. He was sweaty and covered in grass stains and singes so I could tell he worked up close and personal with the dragons. I think my lack of attention towards him gained his, and he eventually came over to talk to me. He told me his name was Charles Weasley." The last sentence made Draco choke on his drink. "Wait! So, you met Charlie first?" He was shocked. He didn't know much about Lennon Rose, but she was the talk of the town when Fred and her got together. "Sorry...I don't mean to be rude. I was just shocked," Draco was ashamed of his outburst so he quickly brought his coffee to his lips to shut himself up. Lennon let out a small laugh at his outburst, really getting a feel for his apologetic personality. "Skipping forward, I was invited to Charles' house for Christmas. He found out I didn't have any family to visit so I accepted the offer...I met Fred there.." Lennon could barely get the last sentence out without finding it hard to breath. "Did you not like the other Weasel?" Draco blurted out curiously. "Weasel?" Lennon raised an eyebrow at him and giggled. "Sorry, I'm sure you've heard of my bad upbringing and attitude." Draco's cheeks became red against his pale skin. "I thought I liked Charles, but he never seemed to treat me anything but a friend. Fred was very up front with asking me on a date. We eventually fell hard for each other and started seeing each other exclusively." Draco could tell Lennon was struggling to finish the sentence. He slowly reached his hand out and placed it on Lennon's. The small act of compassion made Lennon's heart flutter, which only confused her.

"Lennon, what are you doing with him?"

The words boomed throughout the small coffee shop. Draco and Lennon watched as George Weasley stomped angrily to Lennon before he yanked her out of her chair. "Let her go, Weasel!" Draco snapped at George and tried to reach his hand out for her. "Does Charlie know you're here?" George questioned Lennon, ignoring Draco Malfoy completely. "Charlie is not my parent. I can do as I please, George!" Lennon huffed and yanked out of George's grip. "What would Fred say if he saw you like that?" George questioned hysterically, his face red from anger. "Fred isn't here to dictate that." Lennon spoke softly. She hated saying those words, but they were finally entering her head in peace. She looked at Draco with a soft look, wondering what Fred would say. Would he be happy she finally wasn't drinking or would he be upset she was sobering up with a Malfoy? "I'm telling Charlie about this!" George stomped his foot and stared a dark glare into Lennon's soul. "Charles is not speaking with me right now. So, if he cares, tell him to shove it up his—" Lennon was caught off  by a sharp pull on her shoulder that spun her around. Facing her was a very unhappy looking Charlie. "We are leaving." He stated, just as Lennon pulled away and stood closer to Draco. "You may leave. I did not come here with you." Lennon crossed her arms and looked away from her angry best friend. "You are not mentally stable to make those types of decisions. You are coming to my house—now." Charlie took a step towards her but Lennon couldn't help but be stubborn. She reached for Draco's arm and pulled herself closer to him. Draco Malfoy had changed a lot since the war. Before he probably would have snickered and poked fun at the Weasel's for her liking him. But something about Lennon made his heart soften. "Leave her alone. She doesn't want to go with you." Draco spoke up with a sense of power in his voice. Charlie and George looked taken back and hurt by the small interaction between the two. "I'll owl you, Draco. It was nice spending time with you and thank you for the coffee." Lennon gave him a sweet smile and kissed his cheek in a friendly manner before apparating away without another word. Draco's face was visibly red with a blush and he was thankful Lennon left before she saw. "What did you do to Lenny?" Charlie grabbed Draco's shirt and yanked him closer. "I showed her respect." Draco smirked and pulled away from them before apparating away. "What did you do to Lenny?" George questioned. Charlie looked down at his shoes, wondering if he ran his best friend away again. "I can't seem to get her to love me. Seems like she always falls for other men." Charlie admits, not meeting George's eyes. "Fred was right—you did like her!" George's eyes widen as he stared at his older brother. "Why did you lie to Fred? Fred would have respected you and let you have her." George finally caught Charlie's eyes and he could see the hurt, "She would not have chose me anyway."
