The two pretended like the night never happened.

Lennon woke up early with a bit of excitement running through her veins. She was finally ready to look for work. She flipped through her old potion books as she pondered what she wanted when Draco walked into the kitchen. He walked in to the sight of Lennon sipped on tea and reading over a bunch of books. He gave her a soft smile as he sat across from her, wondering what she was doing. "Potions? I thought you worked with Dragons?" Draco questioned as his eyes scrunched up in confusion, staring at the potion books sprawled across the table. He could see tons of small notes and scribbles in every book. "I worked in a healing shop and I worked with dragons. I excel in anything potions." Lennon explained, a blush forming on her face as Draco stared at her with amazement. "Is there anything you can't do?" Draco questioned. Lennon paused for a second and shuddered, "I can't fly." Draco gasped and held his hand to his heart, pretending to be mortified. "This won't work out. You can't stay here anymore." Draco teased her. Lennon stuck her tongue out at him but finally put her books away. "Let's go into town and see if The Apothecary is opened. I know the owner and we can see about getting you a job." Draco told her, watching as a bunch of different emotions filled her face. He wondered what went on in that beautiful head of hers. Shaking his thoughts he went to his room to change, thoughts of his own work entered his head. His father wanted him to follow in his footsteps, but now that Voldemort was finished and his father was in Azkaban, he wondering what he truly wanted to be. "Draco, you've been staring at yourself for 30 minutes. It's not changing anything." Lennon spoke up, having changed and quickly put her make up on. She leaned against the doorway, wondering what was going on in that handsome head of his. "I was just thinking about work." Draco admitted, buttoning the rest of her shirt and pulling his shoes on. He ran his fingers through his hair and met Lennon's eyes. "My whole life was planned for me. Now I have to decide what I want." Draco mumbles, tearing his eyes away from what he knew he wanted. Lennon could see the tired in his eyes from the events of last night, and was surprised that neither mentioned it. "Well, what do you want?" Lennon questioned softly. She walked up beside him and laid her head on his shoulder. She stared at him through the mirror and gave him a small smile. "I guess we will find out." Draco chuckles and interlocks his hand with hers, apparating to Diagon Alley. Draco expected her to release her hand from his, but she didn't. They walked the familiar street together as they looked at shops. "This place has changed so much." Lennon spoke, memories of her and Fred popped into her brain. She saw an old ice cream shop that her and Fred used to visit, now abandoned and up for rent. A lot of places were like that after the war. Draco and Lennon stepped into the cozy potion store, The Apothecary. It was once a busy store where many wizards and witches got products for their upcoming school year, or side projects. "Hello, Mrs. Russel." Draco smiles politely at the old lady. "Mr. Malfoy! My have you grown since the last time I saw you." Mrs. Russel got up from her chair and shook his hand. She pulled the glasses off the top of her head and put them on, suddenly realizing a guest was holding hands with Draco. "Hello, you must be Draco's girlfriend?" Mrs. Russel smiled at the two. "Actually, we aren't dating. My name is Lennon, Lennon Rose." Lennon let go of Draco's hand and shook Mrs. Russel's. "She is a master at potions. I think she would be an amazing help to you, Mrs. Russel." Draco speaks up, his eyes looking at Lennon with a sense of pride. Mrs. Russel looked between the two and sighed, "I'm sorry to break the news but I'm selling the store." Lennon's face fell from the news and Draco's eyes were wide with shock. "But, Mrs. Russel-" Draco stuttered out but Mrs. Russel held her hand up to stop him, "I'm getting too old, Mr. Malfoy. It's almost my time." She smiled wisely. Lennon looked around the cute shop and felt a frown appear on her face. Draco could see the disappointment on her face and felt a pant of guilt for bringing her. "Thank you for your time, Mrs. Russel." Lennon spoke respectfully, shaking her hand once more and giving her a small smile. As the two left, Mrs. Russel couldn't help but smile at the two young adults.

What a beautiful life they will live,
she thought.
