"Cathy, are you ok?" She spoke again, this time not to me. Her voice sounds really awesome! I love those nuances - I heard her sexy and flirting tone, now I heard her little bit angry and defensive and when she spoke to that girl there was a softness and care.
She looks great without makeup. It's incredible how the spell of Moon Goddess makes mates love everything about their other half. This time yesterday I would pay no attention to a girl that would look like this. No makeup, hair in a high messy bun, baggy T-shirt, worn out sweatpants... absolutely not even the slightest hint that someone put an effort to their appearance.
Honestly, I hate that carelessness when it comes to self presentation. I always thought my mate would be that sexy and perfect goddess I dreamed of, just like she was yesterday. I am disappointed but it doesn't make me love her less. They always said the beauty comes from inside. I used to laugh at his that were paired with an ugly girls and I thought they made this up to cover the fact that their mate is not good looking.
The beauty of my mate is overwhelming but it's not making me blind to her imperfections... how cruel it is to deeply love what you see in front of yourself and know this is what you've always hated. We will have to work it out because there's no way I let her go out of the bed looking like this again... like EVER AGAIN!
"Did you both loose your tongues?!" My mate spoke again with the authoritative tone. I got lost in thoughts and the girl is still petrified to even answer her friend. How rude she's not answering my mate! How did I am not answering my mate?!
"I'm sorry dear. I just needed to see you." I said using my most charming tone. She is a human and with a help of the Moon Goddess it should be more than enough to send chills down her spine and make her want me.
"For what reason, sir?" Her cold answer sent chills down my spine instead. Something is not right here. How can she be so cold? I get she's mad but even though the ancient magic should work. Anyway I can't lie to my mate so there's just one way to answer that.
"Because I love you." I told her looking deep into her eyes. I tried to use also my alpha energy to support the mate bond. It's true for mates to be absolutely sure there's the smell, look into each other's eyes and the touch. Even though we didn't touch she should feel it by now.
"Cathy, what happened?" She asked the girl and completely ignored my confession. Not even a muscle moved in surprise when I told her I love her so she has to feel it, there's no chance she doesn't feel it. She's a human so she should be in love just by seeing me - no need to use any of what she's been exposed to by now.
"He... no his men...someone kidnapped me when I was on my way... I don't know..."
"What?" My mates voice came out louder and stronger than I or the girl - Cathy would expect so we both unconsciously took a step back. Now that I'm thinking about it I don't know my mate's name but I'm absolutely sure is not Aphrodite.
"Cathy, come here! Don't stay so close to him!" Cathy followed the order and went behind the table and hid herself behind my mate.
"And you stay where you are!" I obediently didn't move an inch. She's so bossy. How this is going to work between us?
"Nina, he's not that dangerous." Cathy whispered into my mates' ear so quietly I wouldn't hear it being a mere human. So Nina is her name.
"Nice to finally meet you Nina." I used that knowledge. I have to pull something out because I don't se it ending on a good term if we keep going this direction.
"Leave my house or I'm calling the cops!" Voice as hard as a steel cut through my thoughts. I saw that coming.
"Please, I just need to talk to you for a sec."
"You have 2 minutes."
"Please, give me an hour to explain everything. It's a lot." I'm buying time and I don't even know what to say.
"You have 10 minutes. I'm not in the mood to bargain so that's it!" Nina answered and I can see it's definite.
"I'm sorry for what happened to Cathy, I knew right away it wasn't you but my men are useless." I said to Nina. Then I turned to Cathy.
"I would like to offer you 2 000 dollars as an apology."
"She declines. What else do you want to say?" Her cold voice is showering me for so long I think I can feel my toes freezing.
I have to come up with something to melt this iceberg. "Well I would love to start again and prove you my love..." weird silence followed so I added "How do you feel about that Nina?"
"If you wanna waste your 10 minutes listening to me that's fine. I'm just telling you the moment there's gonna be 9:53 on the clock right there you are leaving the house." She pointed to the clock with one hand while in the other hand she held.... A BABY?!?!
