Chapter 7 - "I'll see him tomorrow."

"Stay here and watch that house!"
That was the first thing Alpha mind-linked when he walked out of the door.
"I wanna know about every thing that happens in there. Who's going in, who's going out...Especially men."
He has to be really furious because of that Michael.

He knows we heard everything but he has to maintain his composure as an Alpha and we know it as well. I'm not gonna lie, it was funny to witness him being absolutely ruined in conversation (it was not even an argument...) and being shoved out of the door by a girl that looks like she is about to graduate high school.

But it also makes me wonder what's going on. Alpha has definitely found a mate in her - there's no other way someone could talk to him like that and stay alive, let along a woman. But she seems not being affected at all. Because she is a human, she should see him as irresistibly handsome guy and that together with a help of the Moon Goddess has only one result and so that she should be all over him almost forgetting every other person in this entire world.

Could it be because she has a baby already? Something like "motherhood protection" so she wouldn't set her baby aside because of a mate? I don't know... Why would Moon Goddess do that to Alpha though?

"A man on the 9th." Casper mind-linked and I see he's right.
"That's the same guy as in the morning..."
Yes it's probably Martin if I remember it right from the conversation that took place inside the house. He was supposed to go out with that Cathy girl.
"Aaaand they're leaving." Paul whispered.
"We're spending so much time here I'm starting to hate this place!"
I used to like Paul but he complains a lot these days. When he came he was the only one who took struggles as necessary obstacle but refused to let it poison his mood.

"Why do we have to be here anyway? From what I understood that girl is not gonna leave until Sunday evening. The delivery guy brought groceries and house has a big garden so she doesn't need to bother going outside at all!" Paul continued with his whining. But wait...!

"Garden?!"
"Ehm... yeah..." Paul answered with slight 'duh' underneath.
What??? How come I didn't notice? Someone should go and guard it there.
"Casper, you will..." I said but he didn't let me finish.
"No way! I'm staying here! I'm done with this game. What is the Alpha thinking?"
"Ok I'll go." I said and I carefully crossed a street and walked around the block to get to the back of the house.

Casper is the newest here. He used to be rogue but our alpha claimed him so he's part of the pack. I have no idea where he came from but frankly I don't care. All I know is that he is an excellent driver and fearless fighter and I don't need to know more. We are small pack and majority of us used to be rogues just like him so everyone has their own past. What's important is that we're in for the same thing.

"Hamamam!" I heard a baby's voice.
"Yes honey. Hahaha! You are absolutely right, that's definitely what it is! Hahaha!"
Alpha's mate laughed. I can't see them but I don't have to to know where they are. The sound is breaking through pile of an old wooden boards, also some trees and lots of high grass.

Garden is big, house as well but it's not maintained and only two woman and an infant lives here. It's weird. Thinking about this it actually looks like it would be great pack house - plenty of rooms, big garden, huge park behind the house, calm neighborhood... something we don't have now. Our pack lives in an apartment building in the center of the city. We have the whole floor for ourselves but it's still like living in a cage. Would our future Luna like that?

I'm not gonna lie I want to see her again because I can't believe it's the same girl I caught at the bus stop. I peaked through the wooden fence to see them. Grass is really high there but they made a circle where they cut the grass.

She sits with little boy on the ground. She faces my direction and I can see her face. She's nice but nothing special. She still looks like a teenager although with a gentle smile and calm eyes full of love and care she looks more mature.

She looks like a psychologist - someone I would talk to if I had a problem. I bet she was always friend zoned by guys like our Alpha...she is that typical 'forever best friend' type. Not ugly and not stunningly beautiful, not overweight but not a model's body, not invisible but far from being a star... I'd say she's that casual type you feel comfortable being around.

"Garret, Casper and Paul, come back. Norbert, Andy and Gaston will take your place" Alpha's orders came in.
As I looked the direction of where I came from I saw Andy coming. I started walking towards him when I heard something really interesting.

"Daddy would be so happy if he could see you right now, sweet love." Alpha's mate said sadly.
"I'm gonna say hi to him when I'll see him tomorrow, don't worry."
