"Family is where life begins and love never ends." - Unknown.

It was a beautiful morning in New York City. A little bit cold since the sun has not risen yet over the city that never sleeps.

And the beginning of a new year was just six days away from today.

It was just seven in the morning when the sound of little footsteps could be heard in a house. This small sound was coming from a bedroom down the hallway to another one next to a bathroom.

The creak of the bedroom door in the silent house made the couple sleeping peacefully in the bed wonder what was happening this early in the morning.

As they felt a little body climbing up the mattress and the comforter of the bed, the couple instantly knew. It wasn't a question of what was happening, but rather who was this tiny human who was now settling himself in between his parents.

"Told you he would come this early to wake us up." A man spoke with a sleepy voice, quickly looking at his wife lying next to him.

"Daddy, are you sleeping ?" A little voice whispered.

"Daddy is sleep talking, but mommy is awake. You should go with her." The man said laughing at his child.

"You're lying daddy, I know you're both awake." The man heard his kid laughing and jumping around the couple.

Here in front of his parents was James. James Clinton Rogers. Steve and Natasha's son, who was now three years old.

After the wedding, Steve and Natasha traveled to a country located in Southeastern Europe, Greece. And after that, baby James was born in New York City.

Today was a special day, as it was Christmas. And James was really excited about it and couldn't wait any longer to open his presents. He had heard so many stories about Christmas.

After spending a little more time playing around in his parents' bed, James told them he had to see if the presents were really under the Christmas tree. He had to see if everything his parents told him were true.

"I wish we could have a little more time in bed. It's been a long time since we actually slept in." Natasha said, snuggling herself into Steve's arms.

"I know babe, I wish that too. We just need to find someone to babysit for us for the next eighteen years of our lives." Steve replied laughing at Natasha.

"You'll be miserable if this would be the case." She replied sticking her tongue out to him.

"That's true." Steve said, leaning himself onto Natasha to kiss her deeply. "Morning my love."

Before Natasha could say anything else, a loud scream could be heard from the living room. A scream that both made Steve and Natasha laugh.

"Christmas is here!!!!!!! The presents are under the tree!!!!! Mommy, daddy!!!!"

James was now running towards his parents' bedroom one more time and jumping around like the little kid that he was. "Mommy, daddy I want to open my presents!!!!!"

And if James was running towards his parents a little second ago, he was now running in the opposite direction towards the living room, where the presents were.
