Kaya ran out of the healing pool towards the palace. She had to do something about Zuko. She could not let him leave after her own mistake.
"Zuko!" Kaya yelled through the halls but there was no answer.
She searched all over the palace to no avail. Zuko was gone and it was all her fault. She walked into his room which was still full of his things and laid down on his bed.
"Kaya? What are you doing here?"
Kaya quickly woke up and turned towards the door.
"ZUKO! You are ok!" She responded once she saw him in the door way.
"Of course im ok. I came to pack my things."
"Oh. When are you leaving?"
"Tomorrow. Uncle says he is coming with me."
Kaya was devastated but she knew that there was nothing she could do to stop Zuko. She helped him pack and load everything into his ship.
"Father is sending me to look for the Avatar, only then I can return with my honor." Zuko told Kaya.
"But the Avatar has been missing for over 100 years! How are you supposed to find him!"
Kaya began to remember her time in the spirit world where Vaatu told her to destroy the Avatar and her vision began to fade. She quickly snapped out of it and helped Zuko with the rest of his things. As she was placing some things in his quarters, she snuck the bracelet she bought him under his pillow with a note.
Dear Zuko,
This may have been the last time you will ever see me. When you return home I will not be here. I will never be able to forgive myself for what I have done to you but I know that if I leave the fire nation I will never cause you any more pain then I already have. I am a water bender and at the Agni Kai I blood Bended your father. Its my fault that you are being banished and I wish I could do something. I hope that one day you will forgive me. I love you. -Kaya
