"So you can water bend?" Katara asked.

"Yeah"

"And fire bend?"

"Mhm"

Kaya was too busy braiding her hair while reminiscing on the times her and Zuko had together. She still loves him even though she was trying to convince herself that all he will ever be is a monster, his mind set on regaining something he had never lost.

Both Katara and Sokka continued asking her questions about how and why she could bend both elements.

"Do you know the kid with the scar?" Sokka asked.

"What?! no. well yes. He is the prince of the fire nation. I do not know him personally but I have heard of him." Kaya intended on keeping her love for the prince a secret because she knew the damage that it would cause if anyone found out.

"Guys, stop asking her questions. She just saved our lives and that's all that matters right now." Aang tells the group.

Everyone falls silent and avoids asking more questions.

The group set up camp next to a river and went to sleep. The next morning Aang could not control his excitement but the other three knew that if they did not lower his expectations he would be miserable once he finds out what the fire nation did to his home.

A couple more hours of flying on the bison's back and they arrived at the air temple and as expected, nobody was home. Aang took everyone on a tour of the temple and even taught Kaya how to play airball. Aang obviously had the advantage and beat Kaya by a long slide, although Kaya did manage to score once. As they continued walking, the group approached a large door engraved with air nation insignia. Soon enough they made it inside and were amazed to see statues of every avatar there was. Kaya separated from the group to admire each and every statue, as she walked up the last set of stairs she heard a loud noise coming from outside.

"Kaya what is going on?!" Katara screamed from the first floor, her face illuminated by white light that came from the statue infront of her.

"Its Aang! Go find him!" Kaya yelled to Katara.

It was only a mater of seconds until each statue radiated a bright white light, however one statue caught her eye. It was glowing a dark red color, similar to her own. She ran over to the statue and looked at it closer. It was made of wood and very worn down. On the back, the engraving read, "the first dark avatar." Kaya was so confused but as soon as she reached out to touch the statue, the lights faded and all returned to normal. She ran out to join the rest of the group.

"What happened?!" Kaya asked while running towards the other three.

"I don't know. Aang saw his teacher and got all crazy!" Sokka explained

"And what happened to you? You look as if you have seen a ghost." Sokka asked Kaya.

"Nothing, I guess im just shocked at what happened."

Once Aang regained his composure they all walked back to the room of avatars.

"How is Rokku supposed to help me if I can't talk to him?" Aang asked.

"Im sure you will find a way. I think we both need some answers." Kaya replied while packing her things.
