Bill's Garage
Greyson Elliot reaches up and grabbed the handle on the garage door, pulling it down.
Ben handed Bill the little slide, and he clicked it into the projector. The image flashed up into the wall, slowly coming into focus over the map.
Grey walked over to the boxes, pulling one out of the storage piles and sitting down to the right of Stanley.Great big red lines indicated sewer systems, while old Derry cast over it like a big shadow.
"Look..." Bill pointed to the big X that was marked "storm drain"."Th-that's where Geo-Georgie disappeared, there's the iron works, and the Black Spot."
They group scanned the whole map, with multiple marked places and picture examples."Everywhere it happens it's... it's all connected by the sewers." He reasoned.
They stared at the red lines, running down the map like blood."And they all m-meet up at-"
"The Well House!" Ben interrupted.Realization sank in as they all looked at the projection.
"That's in the house on Neibolt Street." Stan mumbled.Grey's breath caught in her throat and Bill's bottom lip quivered.
Eddie was fumbling for his fanny pack, zipping it open and rifling through it."You mean that creepy-ass house where all the junkies and hobos like to sleep?"
Eddie took a big puff from his inhaler and held his hand in front of his face, staring at the floor with fear.Bev uncomfortable picked at her overalls.
"I hate that place." She said. "It always feels like it's watching me.""There's where I saw it." Eddie mumbled. His voice was so quiet and hoarse, you'd think he had absolutely no breath in his lungs at all. "That's where I saw the clown."
Everyone watched him with concern, while he hunched over, desperately trying to breathe.
"That's where It, lives." If Bill's voice could be a look, it would be a cold glare.
Eddie took another puff of his inhaler, and they stared at the little Well House symbol on the map, that all streaks of red connected right to."I can't imagine anything ever wanting to live there."
Grey shook her head, and was about to offer Eddie a comforting hand, but he stood up in front of the projector shaking with panic."Can we stop talking about this?" He blurted. "I-I-I can barely breathe. Thi-is is summer, we're kids, I can barely breathe." He ranted.
"I-I'm having a fucking asthma attack! And I'm not doing this!"He ripped the map off the wall, and Grey furrowed her eyebrows.
"What the hell?" Bill shouted. "Put the map back."The tone of the room shifted abruptly from calmly sinister, to panic and tense.
Eddie shook his head stubbornly. But then the projector shifted.
It went from the map of Old Derry, to Bill's family photos. The kids glanced at it, but nobody was pushing the forward switch.
They looked at Bill, but he looked just as confused as them.On the backdrop flashed a picture of Georgie and his father in baseball uniforms.
Then the Denbroughs on a log flume."What happened?" Bill asked.
Mike checked the dial, but nothing had changed and nothing had been pressed."Guys...?" He asked, standing up.
It was just pictures of Georgie projecting on the screen, and Grey pulled on her drawstrings. She wiped her nose, but there was nothing there to wipe.
Even though she could hear her heart beat in her ears.
