Beverly's Bathroom

Greyson Elliot had a headache.
She was tired and inhaled too much water that day.
That's all it was.

She was tired, and got bit by some fish, and saw something that wasn't there.
That's all that happened.

She tossed and turned in her bed, with the morning sunlight burning her eyes.
She had bandages wrapped around her foot, so now she exclusively wore crew socks and high tops around the house.

If Jared were to find out about what happened, she'd never leave the house again.
Or worse, they'd move again.

She just found friends she really likes, friends that really like her.
She wasn't ready to lose that.

Then there was Stanley.
Who she never wanted to lose.
He seemed so much more down to earth, and sensitive than the others.

Sure that made him scared sometimes, but it was also endearing.
At least to Grey it was.

"Greyson! Phone for you!" Jared called from the TV room.
She pulled herself up from her bed, and trudged out.

"Who is it?" She asked, as he handed her the phone.
"Beverly Marsh...?"

Grey smiled and held the phone to her ear.
"Hey Bev, what's up?" She asked, twiddling with the cord.

"I need you to come over."
She sounded panicked, and Greyson stopped fidgeting and froze.
"W-why?"

"I just need your help." And she hung up.
Grey hesitantly put down the phone and grabbed her backpack, with her brand-new Gameboy and like... 4 apples.

"Everything okay?" Jared asked her on her way out.
"Yep, just going to go see my friends today."
"Okay, stay safe and be home by 7, okay?"
"Got it, love you."
"Love you too." He dismissed her with the wave of his hand.

She ran outside and to the closest house to her's.
I took longer than expected, with her ankle stinging and throbbing the whole way.
As she approached Bill's house, he rolled his bike out of his garage.

"Bill!" She called to him, walking up his driveway.
"Did Bev call you too?"

He hopped on his bike, and patted the back seat.
It was the silent signal that meant Get on.
"Y-yah, did she t-te-tell you what was wro-wrong?"

Grey sighed and dropped her hands on his shoulders while Bill started pedaling faster.
"No she just told me she needed help."
"Yah me too."

Grey was happy she was on Bill's bike, because she had no idea where Beverly lived.
Also, Bill had to have some superhuman leg strength or something because he was really good at carrying other people on his bike.

Most of the other boys met them on the path there, so eventually they were all riding to the apartment complex part of Derry.

Stan couldn't help but watch Bill in envy, with Grey's arms wrapped around his shoulders and the way she got closer when she said something into his ear.

It was all very arbitrary, he knew Bill liked Beverly, and he still couldn't help but grimace a little.

He almost laughed at himself.
How immature, right?

Finally they had gotten to the complex, and were riding around to the back.
Amongst them, they were trying to figure out what she wanted.

"Well, what did she say to you?" Eddie asked.
Stan shrugged. "She didn't say anything, she just said that you guys need to hurry over."
