Vic made his way to the trailer park and found that Marty's Bobcat was nowhere to be seen. The door of the trailer, however, was still open, and the television inside was heard. Louise must have still been home. So Vic walked inside to find Louise doing a workout routine inside the living room. She was wearing a pink jumpsuit and skimpy blue coveralls. She had her dark brown hair tied to a high ponytail.
"And 5,6,7,8 and you're the best!" a female instructor announced from the television. "6,7,8, you run the world! Yeah! Come on and push it. Do you want it? Do you need it? PUSH IT!"
Vic watched as Louise kept on following the routine demonstrated on television, breathing hard and sweating. She looked up just in time to see Vic watching from the doorway laughing as Louise herself started laughing.
"Hey, Louise," Vic greeted.
"Hey, Vic," Louise replied, trying to catch her breath. "How you keeping?"
"Better now," Vic answered.
"Good," Louise said.
"Don't stop," Vic told her as Louise ran to the television to turn it off. "I'm waiting for Marty."
"No," Louise answered, facing Vic. "It's nice to talk to someone. So - Phil said you was in the service."
"Yeah..." Vic replied. "But I screwed up."
"You and me both," Louise retorted.
Just then, Marty arrived at the front door studying Louise hard. "Damn it woman, if you gonna dress like a whore, I'm gonna turn you out," he blurted out bluntly.
"I was doing my aerobics, Marty," Louise groaned in annoyance as she started to walk away. "For crying out loud, gimmie a break!"
"I will... a broken fucking neck!" Marty snapped back, stepping a few inches forward. "You watch your mouth in my goddamn house."
"Sorry," Louise said, suddenly submissive.
Poor woman, Vic thought. She's verbally harassed by her husband and just takes all his shit.
The conflict only exacerbated when Mary-Beth was heard bawling in the other room. Marty then glared at Louise. "Now look what you gone and done!" Marty called. "You imbecile. Jesus, woman!"
Marty turned to see Vic standing right behind him. "Hey - what's up Vic Vance?" he greeted.
"You said you might have some other work," Vic told him.
Mary-Beth continued bawling even louder in the other room.
"Yeah, yeah, sure..." Marty answered. "I got some debts people need to start paying."
As Mary-Beth sobbed louder, Marty finally turned back to let out a growl. "Argh - if you don't shut that brat up, woman, I will!" he called to Louise.
"Screw you, Marty," Louise shot back as she exited the room to face her abusive husband. "You're nothin' but an inbred hillbilly piece of shit!"
"You better watch your mouth, tramp - or I'll knock them teeth out!" Marty threatened.
"That's it!" Louise cried, on the verge of tears as Mary-Beth continued bawling in the other room. "I'm taking the baby and I'm going to stay with my sister!"
"Good!" Marty shouted as Louise walked into her room to prepare to leave with her baby. "Go ahead! Go! Fat ass pig sister of hers. I'll hit her an' all too."
Marty then headed out of the front door and guided Vic with him. "Come on, let's get out of here!" Marty ordered.
This guy actually threatens to beat an infant? Vic thought. Man, does Phil know about this?
Vic reluctantly hopped inside Marty's Bobcat, with Marty tagging along, and he started the engine and drove out of the trailer park, making a left turn.
"Where we heading?" Vic asked.
"My old lockup," Marty answered. "Just off the edge of the airport."
"I know where that's at," Vic said.
He continued driving until he finally made it to Viceport and saw a building up ahead. That must have been Marty's lockup. So Vic parked the vehicle right next to the building, and Marty handed him the list of the vehicles to collect.
"Here's a list of shit needs repossessing," Marty instructed. "I don't think you've got the stones to git it for me. Prove me wrong..."
Marty exited the car as Vic read the list. The first vehicle on the list to collect was an Admiral located at the apartments in Viceport. So Vic drove to the apartments and found a gray Cheetah parked right in the driveway.
Vic exited the Bobcat and ran to the Cheetah, which he hopped inside of and used a piece of hook to start the engine. He backed out onto the rode and drove away.
After parking the vehicle in the storage, Vic saw a motorbike and hopped onto it in search of the black Sentinel. He looked around Little Havana until he finally came across the black vehicle. When the vehicle came to a stop in front of the red light, Vic hopped off the motorbike and ran to the vehicle, in which he snatched the driver inside and hopped inside.
"Marty sends his regards," Vic called to the driver.
"Hey, I paid Marty off weeks ago, man!" the would-be driver called as Vic ignored him and drove off through Little Havana.
Marty sure has a peculiar way of running a business, Vic thought.
He continued driving until he finally made it to the lockup. Before Vic hopped off the car, he checked the list Marty gave him. All he needed to swipe was a delivery van. So Vic saw another motorbike on the side of the lockup and hopped on.
As Vic rode around the city, he looked around to search for the van that was on the list. He rode through Little Havana and made his way through Little Haiti, where he saw a blue delivery van parked on the corner. Vic hopped off the motorbike and ran to the delivery van. He hopped inside and started the engine.
Vic, of course, didn't notice a man standing right to the left side until he turned to his right.
"What the hell are you doing?" the man called.
Vic quickly put the vehicle on drive and drove off as quickly as he could. Unfortunately, as soon as he brought the vehicle on the road, he saw a couple of police cars riding up ahead.
It's about time the cops showed up! Vic thought.
He paid no mind to the police cars casing after him. It was rather difficult to shake them off since the van was far too slow to speed up and the police cars had excellent acceleration. So Vic had to turn corners in the alleyways to lose the heat, being careful not to let anything in the back to fall out.
By the time Vic finally made it on the road, the cops were no longer on his tail. So Vic smoothly drove on the road and made it to the lockup, where Marty was waiting along with his partner, who was wearing a black muscle shirt over slim-fitted jeans and a brown hat. He also had a black beard.
Vic parked the vehicle and faced the stereotypical redneck.
"Hank, get that van outta here!" Marty ordered his partner.
"Why do I get the impression none of those debts were genuine?" Vic asked suspiciously.
"Whatever I say's mine, is mine," Marty answered. "And what I say, goes... If you wanna get on round here, you'll learn that one, kid."
"Whatever," Vic grumbled.
Vic just knew he was in for a surprise. He was prepared for whatever tasks Marty would have in for him later.
