Vic entered the lawn outside and walked around to find Diaz and his goons having a discussion with Gonzalez by the pool side while Gonzalez was sitting on a brown lounging chair. The latter has been caught stealing from Diaz, and instead of trying to do him in, Diaz decided that the best way to deal with Gonzalez this time would be blackmailing him into working for him for now on.
"Take the guns back to your Colonel," Diaz demanded. "But remember, you belong to me now. Any shipments you bring to Vice City come through me."
"Si, si," Gonzalez agreed, nodding his head rapidly. "No problem."
Vic entered just in time for Diaz to look up and notice his presence. "Vic!" Diaz cheered, wearing a wide grin on his face. "I was just talking to my new friend Gonzalez about loyalty. How I will look after him so long as he does what he's told." He then turned to Gonzalez. "And you will do as you're told, won't you?" Diaz told Gonzalez.
"Si, si," Gonzalez agreed, rapidly nodding his head once again.
"Bueno," Diaz replied, his grin growing even wider with delight. He turned back to Vic. "Escort him to the airport, Vic," Diaz told Vic. "Show him what it means to be a friend of Ricardo Diaz... and what it is to be an enemy."
This meant for now on, Gonzalez had to inform Diaz of every shipment he knows about, and his first task right now was to get the Colonel's merchandise to the airport in safety.
So as Gonzalez walked over to the truck replete with the supplies, Vic was now in an Armadillo piloted by one of Diaz's goons armed with an M249 used to protect Gonzalez from getting shot at by the Sharks.
Vic looked down below to find that the truck was on its way down the bridge leading to the western island to find a Gang Rancher following Gonzalez's truck. Vic used the M249 to aim for the Rancher and shot as many bullets at the vehicle as he could. After getting struck by so many bullets, the Rancher eventually exploded.
The truck down below continued driving, and as it made a left turn on the long road on the western island, Vic spotted another Rancher chasing after it. Once again, he aimed the M249 at the Rancher and fired as many bullets to it as he could. The Rancher took a number of bullets right before it finally caught fire and eventually exploded as well.
Before he knew it, Vic saw that there were even three more Ranchers chasing after the truck, and Vic made no hesitation as he fired at those vehicles as well. Unfortunately, this time, there were even more Ranchers up ahead, barricading Gonzalez's path as his truck came to a stop. It was up to Vic to shoot more of the Sharks' Ranchers and firing as many bullets as they could take. The vehicles were then caught on fire, and they all exploded in pieces, leaving Gonzalez's truck to continue driving through the road unscathed.
As the truck continued driving, Vic saw a roadblock up ahead. It was more Sharks barricading Gonzalez's path to his destination. Vic wasted no time as he fired more bullets into the vehicles, and they all caught fire and blew up just in time to give Gonzalez more space to heat to the airport.
The Sharks were very determined to bring down Gonzalez's truck, and it didn't seem like they were backing out or letting Gonzalez get away with it. Vic was ready for them though, and he was still determined to defend Gonzalez to give him enough time to make his was to the airport alive and well.
Vic saw the truck up ahead as it continued its expedition through the city on its way to its destination. He looked down to see more Sharks in their Gang Ranchers following the truck, and Vic fired yet a prolific more amount of bullets in them ad they all caught on fire and exploded one by one.
Gonzalez finally made it to the airport in one peace, and his goons were blocking the entrance through from the Sharks. With Gonzalez's truck inside the hangar in the airport, it was now Vic's chance to defend the entrance to the airport to prevent them from trying to get through to fire at Gonzalez inside. Vic used his M249 to fire the bullets at the Sharks' vehicles to keep them stalled.
Of course, Vic had to clear the other entrance on the other end as well. So the Armadillo the goon was flying flew over to the other side of the airport just in time to see the Ranchers attempting to ride through it. Vic fired bullets at them as well, and each of the vehicles caught fire and exploded.
The pilot had to fly on the same end of the airport's entrance to defend it from more of the Sharks in Gang Ranchers. Unfortunately, as Vic had shot down all of the Ranchers by the entrance, he discovered that the Sharks had made their way inside the airport. So the pilot flew the armadillo over the airport and hovered above the Ranchers enough for Vic to get a clear shot of them and shoot down a couple of the vehicles.
Vic then turned to the left to find that the Ranchers were after the place that was taking off straight in the runaway. He surmised that Gonzalez was inside the plane taking off. So he used the M249 once again to shoot bullets at the Sharks' Gang Ranchers following the plane ahead of them. Each vehicle had bullets making clanging sounds until a couple of them finally caught fire and exploded.
Before he knew it, Vic saw Gonzalez's plane take off of the end of the runaway and soar into the air. Vic let out a sigh as he sat over the edge of the Armadillo. Even through the whirling propellers spinning loudly, he still heard his pager beeping. Vic took it off of his belt strap to read the message. It was from one of the Mendez brothers.
"It is time we talked," the message read. "Come and see us... "
So Vic decided to page Lance about the news. "Lance," he paged, "the Mendez brothers want us at their mansion, pronto! go over there and meet me at the front."
Vic then turn to the pilot. "Thanks for the ride, man!" he shouted at the pilot. "Thing you can fly over to Prawn Island to drop me off?!"
"No problem, Señor!" the pilot agreed, and he flew northeast leading to Prawn Island.
