Vic made it to the InterGlobal Film Studios as quickly as he rode and parked outside. He quickly hopped out of the vehicle and ran inside the studio to see Reni, who was lamenting his imminent premonition.
"Farewell, faithful friend," he said melodramatically. "The phoenix must burn first before she rises... Such is life... "
Vic walked inside the room just in time for Reni to notice his presence. "Reni, hey, what's wrong?" he asked.
"Darling, he wants me dead!" Reni told Vic in a maudlin tone.
"Who?" Vic asked.
"Diego Mendez, that's who," Reni answered, walking around the room.
"Why?" Vic asked.
"Because I put you in contact with Ricardo Diaz," Reni explained, "said it was disloyal of me. Not as disloyal as him two-timing me with that tramp."
"Whoa, wait," Vic interrupted, holding his hands out in front. "You guys were an item?!"
"Yes," Reni admitted, "but I could not deal with him. He talked too much. Beat me, Reni. Spank me, Reni. Blow coke up my ass, Reni. It was too goddamn much.
Vic just chuckled hysterically. He could not believe someone like Diego Mendez was actually into Reni. "Diego Mendez?" he chuckled. "Jeez... "
"So now I must go to Dr. Horowitz," Reni elucidated. "He's a genius. Tomorrow, new Reni!"
It became clear to Vic. This Reni guy was actually a transsexual. It was no wonder why "he" was acting so melodramatic and flamboyant.
"You're not having another sex change, are you?" Vic asked.
"I only have three," Reni protested.
Vic just wrinkled his face in confusion as he stared at Reni. Three sex changes?! he thought. Somebody needs to make up his or her mind here.
Reni then dropped to "his" knees and hugged Vic's legs tightly. "Oh, please, darling, save me!" "he" pleaded.
Vic just sighed in annoyance. He was actually talking to a transsexual man who was soon to become a woman - just when he thought the decade couldn't get any weirder.
So without a word, Vic guided Reni outside to head to the latter's red Stinger. The sky was now pitch dark black with a hint of purple smother in it. The crescent-shaped moon glowed brightly up above.
Vic hopped inside the vehicle, with Reni taking the passenger's seat, and the former started the engine. He put the vehicle on drive and squealed away, making a right turn on Prawn Island.
"Diego's men will be here any second," Reni told Vic, walking to "his" stinger. "I just know it."
"I'll hold them up," Vic told the transsexual German. "You'll have to find your own way to the hospital."
"Find my own way?" Reni asked, hopping inside the Stinger. "But darling, I always have."
Vic watched as Reni started the engine to the vehicle and squealed away. Meanwhile, Vic looked around to see if there were any of the Mendez goons out to enter the studio.
He looked ahead of the entrance just in time to spot one of Mendez's goons enter. Vic headed to the trunk of Infernus, pulled out an AK-47, and fired bullets at the goon, who dropped dead before he had a chance to even take five steps inside.
Soon, a prolific amount of the Mendez goons started dispersing around the place, even firing bullets at Vic. The latter quickly dodged the bullets and fired back at them.
The shadows of the goons spread around the area through the glowing moonlight up above. Bullets started rapidly hitting into objects by most of Mendez's goons.
