As Vic watched the movers take out the remaining material out of one of the moving vans and shut the door of Louise's new house behind them as they made it inside, he sighed in relief. Louise had finally lived a better life now that she had moved out of her sister's apartment, and she had an even better house with a better home life. Vic was sure he'd form a romantic relationship with Louise somehow, and with the help of her brother Phil, she felt independent for the first time. This would give Vic an opportunity to possibly be able to date Louise someday, as he felt she deserved a better lover, given who her husband was, especially since she had already given birth to a baby girl months ago.
Vic didn't have time to think about it some more though. He heard his pager beeping and pulled it off his belt. It was from Lance.
"I don't trust Forbes, man," the message read. "Meet me at the Arena."
Vic scratched his head curiously. Why was Lance all of a sudden against Forbes anyways? Vic didn't question any more and just hopped inside the moving van he was driving. He started the engine and drove straight up north to turn left of Vice Point. He drove straight down the road to a bridge leading to Downtown.
Vic drove straight through the city and made a right turn. After riding straight down the road once again, he made a left turn and finally made it to the parking lot of the Hyman Memorial Stadium. There he saw Forbes standing there, and Vic put his vehicle on park and hopped right out. Forbes had noticed Vic as the latter approached the former.
'Victor V, what's popping, partner?" Forbes greeted, spreading his arms around.
"What?" Vic asked, making a confused face.
"What's popping?" Forbes repeated.
"What the fuck are you talking about?" Vic asked, still perplexed of Forbes' sudden jargon.
"Isn't that what you guys say?" Forbes asked. "What's popping?"
"I think that must be Lance," Vic reminded. He looked behind Forbes to search for his brother. He was nowhere to be seen.
"What?" Forbes asked, now losing his focus on the topic.
"You got everything sorted?" Vic asked him, digressing. "No trouble?"
"'Course," Forbes replied, wrapping his arm around Vic. He made Vic look like a gnome compared to himself. "Hey, I was just giving you shit, you know?"
"Yeah," Vic muttered. "Whatever."
"Great, great," Forbes responded. "Here's your brother..."
Lance suddenly arrived, holding a pistol behind his back. "What's popping, baby?" Forbes asked Lance.
But before he knew it, he saw that Lance had the pistol pointed to his face and stared at the barrel hopelessly. "YOU!" Lance shouted menacingly.
"Lance, what's going on?" Vic asked his brother.
Lance ignored his question and glared at Forbes. "You're a freaking cop!" Lance shouted in Forbes' face. "You think you can mess with Lance T. Vance, you punk?!"
"Hey, chill... " Forbes pleaded apprehensively.
"Chill?!" Lance asked.
"Yes," Forbes answered, trying to keep his composure. "You're right. I am a cop. I was gonna tell you. I need money. I wanna work with you guys. I ain't gonna bust you."
"Not now, you ain't," Lance snapped, pointing the pistol back in Forbes' face. "I'm gonna bust you!"
But Forbes caught Lance off guard and smacked him back as he made a run for it. "Let's go!" Vic urged Lance as he ran after the undercover cop.
"I am going!" Lance replied, following along. "Get him, Vic. We gotta find out what he knows!"
When the brothers found that Forbes has hopped into a blue Stinger and driven away, they hopped inside the red Cheetah, with Vic as the driver. He rode down the road and caught up to Forbes, who was driving away as fast as he could. Vic rammed into the bumper of the Stinger, and the impact caused the trunk to open, in which money flew out of.
"Aw, man, that's our money!" Lance shouted as the money continued flying out of the air. "Get him!"
The pedestrians saw the commotion and quickly ran over to the flying money to grab a handful of it for themselves. "What the hell is our money doing in there?!" Vic growled.
"You never know when you're gonna need a few grand... " Lance replied.
Vic just shook his head and attempted to avoid the pedestrians running around the street to collect the flying dollar bills flying out of the trunk of the Stinger. He had to catch Forbes to make sure that all of the money inside the trunk didn't fly out. So he furiously stomped on the gas pedal and rammed harder into Forbes' vehicle. He was getting impatient at this point.
The citizens of Vice City continued to disperse around the city to collect the money that was flying around, and Vic finally ended the chase by causing Forbes to crash into a building just at the end of Downtown and pulled the undercover cop out of his vehicle.
"Yeah!" Lance cheered as he exited the Cheetah. "You got him now, Vic! I got a place we can take him. Come on."
The Vance brothers have now taken Forbes to an abandoned apartment complex in Little Haiti, where they had Forbes tied to a chair and a flour bag over his head. Lance was determined to exact information on Forbes while Vic was rather skeptical.
"I don't know about this, Lance," Vic told him.
"It's either this, or kill him," Lance responded. "What do you think, Forbes?"
"Uh, I definitely prefer it this way," Forbes replied in a high-pitched voice, sounding very nervous.
"We'll let him sweat for a while," Lance declared. "We'll be back. You sit tight, buddy."
Vic and Lance then left the building for a while to get some dinner. They were getting hungry, and it was getting late. With Forbes tied to the chair, there was no way he could possible escape. So the brothers decided to eat and return to Forbes later on. They had to get the undercover cop to spill the beans somehow.
