Grace could tell what was happening. It started with sniffles from Liam, the house socialite. She knew that he spent a great deal of time with every person in the house and he was getting sick.

Next came the sniffles from the twins, as well as a dry cough. She warned Taylor, told her to keep the kids away from the ones getting sick as best she could while the brunette went to run errands one day.

Taylor tried to, it didn't work.

One morning, they were sitting in bed when the twins walked into their room in a much less energetic and fun manner than usual, and Grace knew.

"They're all sick."

Taylor sighed,  "They can't be. You haven't seen the other four."

"Oh I'm willing to bet the deed to the house on it," Grace replied, "I'll get the kids up and tucked into the living room for a quiet day of movies if you go to the store and get gatorade, medicine and stuff for soup and snacks."

"That sounds like a deal," Taylor answered as she felt Nicholas climb up onto the bed and cuddle right into her without saying anything.

"Good morning," Grace said softly as she rubbed Nathan's back. The boy hadn't even made it to Grace, he collapsed in the centre of the bed and put his head down.

"No," Nicky answered, "Not a good morning, Mommy."

"What's going on?" Taylor asked the boy, always more vocal than his brother.

"My tummy hurts and my thinking spot hurts and my nose hurts and my throat hurts and my legs are tired and it's hot," he whined, listing off a series of symptoms in some sort of way that was fairly good for a six-year-old.

"Yes," Nathan agreed as she slowly lifted his head before putting in back down, "My thinking spot hurts."

"Your head?" Grace couldn't help but smile sweetly at their cuteness although they weren't feeling well.

"That's the word," Nicholas answered.

"Mommy," Alyssa walked in, wrapped in her blanket. She usually only called Grace 'Mom' nowadays and by her scratchy voice, appearance and whining, Grace knew she was sick too.

"Hey, you've got the cold too, huh? Come sit with us," Grace said to their eldest daughter, the pre-teen obliged with a nod and got onto the bed, snuggling into Grace's side at once.

"Hopefully Madeline and James aren't sick," Taylor said, pulling the blanket over Nicholas who felt cold to the touch.

"Liam's going to walk in here in a minute," Grace hummed certainly, running her hands through Alyssa's long hair for a couple minutes.

"Mommy, Mama," Liam entered their bedroom. Grace knew their kids worked like clockwork, today being no different despite the illness fluttering through the family.

"Good morning," Taylor said to the boy as he took the other three kids on the bed as an open invitation to join.

"How's it going, Stitch?" Grace gave him a weak smile, using his nickname to try and make him do the same.

"I definitely am sick."

"Same," Alyssa groaned as she scooter over to make room for her brother so he too could cuddle Grace.
