Alyssa gets sick and Taylor and Grace dote on the teenager despite her being a piece of work.
I love this request, Alyssa is probably my favourite kid to write about.

"Hey, everyone ready to go? Bring your stuff downstairs," Taylor called through the London house's intercom system, hoping all six of her children would bring their overnight bags down quickly for their night with Grace's mom.
They flew to London to visit Grace's side of the family a few days prior and Jennifer had just insisted that despite her age, she could still take the kids for a night and give Grace and Taylor some alone time.
Taylor was all for it, ready to bring the kids over before noon, even.
One by one, the kids started to appear and head out to the car. It was strange how suddenly they blinked and they were all big and tall, the oldest sixteen and the youngest four, and even he was tall (Grace swore he was going to be taller than his siblings before they knew it).
Grace was outside making sure everyone got buckled up, about to take them all to Jen's when the brunette appeared in the doorway with a confused look, "I have five."
"You birthed four but we have six," Taylor replied, not looking up from her phone.
Grace chuckled, "Alyssa's not in the car."
"Oh," Taylor looked up and laughed along with her wife, "I'll go get her."
Just as Taylor turned to head upstairs, Alyssa came down with a puffy red nose and her backpack lazily dangling off her shoulder.
It was one sneeze before Grace slipped her shoes off and began to meet Alyssa in the middle, "Back to bed."
"I'm fine, I've just got a headache," Alyssa croaked out. She wanted to spend the night out of the house just as bad as the other kids; she would never admit it, but her Nana was probably her favourite person in the entire world.
"And a stuffy nose, sore throat," Grace felt Alyssa's forehead, "Fever, too. How's your stomach?"
"I'm fine!"
"Her stomach hurts," Taylor said knowingly, "Back to bed, sunshine. You can spend the night at Nana's next time."
"Mama, please," Alyssa began to beg, trying to pull out puppy dog eyes.
"I'm going to drop off the other kids, be back soon," Taylor said to Grace, ignoring Alyssa's pleading.
Alyssa huffed as her mother quickly went down the stairs and wrapped her arms around Taylor, a tight embrace that ended in a sweet kiss.
They did that every single time, and it always seemed to make Alyssa believe in true love, because after all those years, every goodbye was just as hard as the last, no matter the distance and time.
Taylor was going five blocks over, and they still hugged like it would be the very last time.
"Bye, I love you," Grace pecked Taylor's lips one more time.
Taylor cupped her cheeks, "Love you more, text me what we need from the pharmacy and I'll pick it up."
"Thank you."
"Bye, Alyssa," Taylor half waved to her daughter, "Listen to Mommy."
"I'm sixteen," Alyssa chuckled dryly.
