Sam's pov

The door shut as Kat and y/n disappeared out of my sight, my vision blurred as tears filled my eyes. I walked over to the chair and sat down taking in a deep breath, I threw my head in my hands with frustration. I was so scared, oh no none of the boys or girls knew. I knew how close Devyn, Tara and Cassie were to Kat, I know they didn't really know y/n but I hoped they would like her, Jake and Corey had already met y/n so at least she knew someone.

I sat there in silence as thoughts entered and left my head, I felt my back pocket vibrate and pulled it out to see Colby ringing me "hey dude what's up?" Colby asked happily down the other end of the phone "nothing much just getting some food, how was the flight?" I know I shouldn't lie to him but I promised y/n I wouldn't let him come back, "it was exhausting but I'm heading to the hospital now. How's Kat doing?" My hands started to shake as he said that, she was my world she was my everything, I wanted to be with her forever. "She's ok, the doctors say she may need to have the operation a bit early but she's all good at the moment" I wasn't going to tell him they were having surgery as we speak, maybe if I told him the doctors said she may need the operation early I could tell Colby they were having it the day he was meant to come home.

"What dude? Promise me that if they have it earlier that expected you will tell me" I hated lying to Colby especially breaking a promise to him "I.....I promise" my heart shattered as I said that, Colby was my brother "alright brother well I'm parking up now so I'll call you later yeah?" "Yeah talk later dude love you" "love you Sam, Kat will be ok, tell Kat and y/n I said hi" his voice was full of joy which warmed my heart "will do brother" I replied before hanging up.

As soon as I ended the call I started to break down, I couldn't do this alone. I walked over to the couch in the room and lay down staring at the ceiling, tears streamed down my face as my heart raced. I lay in silence and thought about my future, my eyes were getting heavier every minute but I needed to stay awake for when they got back.

My eyes slowly turned into the weight of stone, I couldn't keep my eyes open to stay awake, so I closed them just for a minute but I let the darkness overtake me.
