Three days later it was Christmas. In those three days running up to Christmas I did nothing but sulk and cry over Mikey. The girls tried hard to cheer me up but I just felt shitty. When it was Christmas Eve I guess I was a little more cheerful. It was hard to ignore the champagne in the ice bucket across the room but I'm resisting for the baby's sake. We all watched Christmas movies and giggled about silly little things until our stomachs hurt.
It's Christmas Day now. I just woke up, and it's half eight. The girls ran into my bedroom and bounced up and down like little kids. 'Come on Florence lets go downstairs!' Tabby excitedly said. I sighed and groaned. I hid under my duvet covers. 'Do we really need to drag you out of bed?' Ruth crossed her arms and smiled. 'Probably,' I groaned into the pillow. Then all the sudden I was being dragged by my crazy friends downstairs. We all giggled and jumped up and down looking at all the presents. The girls opened up a bottle of fizz and I was just sat their awkwardly sipping a glass of orange juice. What I needed right now was a bit of fizz, just something alcoholic. It would probably make me happy now Michael has gone out my life. We all sat down and put our presents into piles then three idiots bursted though the door 'Ho ho ho!' Ashton shouted. Ruth squealed and ran up to him. 'Merry Christmas baby,' Ashton said to her between kisses. Luke walked over and gave Chloe a romantic long kiss. It was lovely that Chloe and Luke found each other, they are so perfect together. Calum and Tabby were making out on the sofa, tongue and everything. It made me realise how lonely I'm going to be without Michael and how much I'm going to miss him. I started to hold back my tears and clench my fists. 'Hey Florence, you okay?' Ashton asked me with worry on his face. 'Yeah, I think so,' I sniffed and forced a smile.
We started opening presents at ten pm sipping on our fizz, well for me orange juice. Everyone decided to let me go first as they felt sorry for me. I hated that they felt sorry for me. It made me look weak. First one was from Ash and it was a signed 5SOS shirt. 'Thanks Ash! Omg I love it!' I squealed and hugged him. 'No problem I hope you don't mind Michaels signature, I kinda made us sign it before you guys...you know,' Ashton said getting quieter as he mentioned Michaels name. 'I'm fine, thank you so much.' I kissed him on his cheek. Chloe went next and she opened Luke's, it was a cute plush penguin and a lush box of fine chocolates. 'Thank you babe!' She squealed and kissed him. We all giggled as we all know Chloe bloody loves penguins. Then it was Luke who got a blink 182 signed shirt from Chloe. Calum and Tabby gave each other lovely things. Tabby got a beautiful necklace and Calum got very expensive aftershave. Ash gave Ruth a ring with love you engraved in it and Ash got new awesome drumsticks and bandanas. We carried on round the circle and we all got awesome presents from each other. Michael hasn't given anyone presents. When we finished it had just gone eleven. I started prepping lunch and the girls helped as the boys have hardly any cooking skills.
'Me hungry!' Calum grunted like he was a caveman. 'Fucking wait!' Us girls shouted all together. I haven't been sick as much anymore, but boy I needed the bathroom a lot! I went up at least four times while making the lunch. 'Baby is quite demanding!' I sighed peeling the carrots. 'Yes Florence but it will be worth it,' Ruth giggled.
'I bet it'll be as beautiful as you,' Tabby piped up. 'I hope so,' I giggled and we all clinked our glasses. I can't wait to see my baby. Maybe Michael will change his mind?
Finally after at least two hours in the kitchen, lunch was ready. We sat outside in the lush Australian weather. The food was fantastic too! 'Well ladies, you did a great job!' Calum exclaimed. 'I guess women are meant to be in the kitchen,' Ashton glanced at Ruth and she threw a carrot at him. 'Yes Ash but that's where the knives are,' I giggled. 'Shit,' Luke said and we all giggled and tucked in.
'Guys I want to say something,' Ashton stood up. 'Whoo Ash!' Calum and Luke shouted clapping their hands. Ashton glared at them which made us giggle. 'So this year has been great. Luke met Florence and introduced her to our band. Florence your amazing. Your so sweet and caring and our band really does appreciate you. Thanks to you we all met the loves of our lives. I've been looking for a girl like Ruth for so long and I've finally met her. And now I'm guessing I'm going to be a sort of uncle, we all are. And I hope for the best for this baby. I bet it will be as wonderful as you. May this be the best Christmas and hope for the best for years to come.' Ashton raised his glass and we all copied. 'To the band, to us and to the baby!' Ashton shouted.
'Yeah!' We all cheered and clinked our glasses.
We had just finished clearing up from dessert and we all decided to watch a movie. We just put in Anchorman 2 and the door knocked loudly. 'I'll get it!' Luke rushed to the door. I sighed and giggled. I heard quiet muffles from the hall getting louder. Then Michael walked in. 'Michael!' I shouted standing up. 'I just came to give you these,' He sighed. His eyes were so bloodshot and his cheeks were tear stained. I walked up to him and stroked his cheek. But he flinched and walked away. I felt myself tearing up. The presents fell from my arms and I fell to the floor.
