Nervous was exactly how Hazel was feeling at the moment. She'd come down with a cold Friday so her mom had let her stay home. But now it was Saturday, and she was freaking out. Why? Because it was 7:30, and she'd barely gotten out of bed.
Knowing Jasper, he'd be at her house early so he could properly introduce himself to Marina before he took Hazel out. With that being said, she had about fifteen minutes to get ready. She threw her outfit on, black ripped jeans, a plain grey shirt, with a blue cardigan. Sure, it was pretty basic, but she doubted Jasper would really mind.
Just as Hazel threw her hair up into a quick braid, and finished applying the bare minimum of make up (she hardly ever wore it), her mother called her down. "Hun, your date is here!"
"Coming!" Stumbling down the stairs, Hazel was caught by a laughing Jasper.
"You alright Darlin'?" His hearty laughter, caused Hazel to blush, his laugh was really cute. He was dressed in tight fitting jean and a dark button-down shirt. All in all, he looked stunning. Giving him a nod, Hazel pulled away from Jasper's cold embrace and she turned to her mother.
Marina had a knowing smirk on her face, noting her daughters blatant blush. "Mom, this is Jasper. I'm sure you already know, but he's one of Dr. Cullen's foster kids."
The older woman stepped forward, a hand outreached for Jasper to shake, "I'm Marina, I apologize for not introducing myself sooner." Jasper gave her a curt nod, and carefully took her hand, giving it am earnest shake before retracting. "My, you've got some cold hands. Much like my father in law." Hazel laughed awkwardly, giving her mom a look not to press any further.
"Jasper and I should get going mom. We'll see you later." Taking the Jasper's cold hand in her own, Hazel turned to leave.
"I'll have her back before midnight ma'am. Don't worry." Marina smiled at Jasper's soft words.
"So polite, have fun you two." With a nod, Hazel and Jasper headed out the door. Jasper had brought the pretty red convertible
Like the gentlemen he is, he opened the passenger door for Hazel to get in. Once she was in, he closed the door and got in himself. Turning the key, the cars engine roared to life and Jasper expertly turned the car around, driving down the driveway. "Do you mind if I play some music?" Hazel asked, getting a nod in response. Taking that as the go ahead, she turned the radio on, and flipped to the rock station. "Aw hey, they're playing Bon Jovi!"
Hazel began singing along to the song, a smile wide on her face. Watching the girl out of the corner of his eye, Jasper smiled softly. He pressed a button and the convertible's top reclined, both of their hair was now flying wildly in the chilly Washington air.
Jasper started humming along to the song, earning a bright grin from Hazel. He'd never felt more alive in his immortal life.

They made it into their seats in the theatre just before the movie started.
As the lights dimmed, the two burst out laughing. On their way in Hazel convinced Jasper to alter the mood of a woman ahead of them. She ended up throwing her popcorn in her dates face and storming out, and then Jasper changed her mood back to happy.
All in all they got a pretty good laugh out of it. Jasper had usually been hesitant to use his abilities on people, but he had to admit it was quite funny. But now, the theatre was silent, except for the movie that was playing. Rather than focusing on the film, Jasper chose instead to watch the girl beside him. Her long dark hair was pulled back into a messy braid, the silver strip weaving in and out, making the braid seem even prettier. The light of the movie reflected out of her big blue eyes. They reminded him of the ice back in Alaska, it was almost mystifying.
