Four day passed since the fight with James, and Hazel still had not awoken. Marina had been there not even a day after she'd been notified of Hazel's hospitalization, and she hardly left her daughter's bedside. Jasper was the same, he'd only leave every once in a while to hunt when he was feeling thirsty.
Today however, Hazel's eyes carefully lifted as she took in her surroundings. Her left arm was in a cast, as she realized she was unable to move it. To her left sat Jasper, his eyes closed as he preteneded to sleep in a chair.
On her right sat her mother, she seemed to just have woken as well. Another woman, with sandy blonde hair sat to her mother's side, but she was evidently in a deep sleep. "Mom?" Hazel's voice was crackly from lack of use, but her mother took noticed of the girls soft voice.
"Hazel you're awake!" Marina ran over to the girl, throwing her arms around her. Hazel grunted, slightly pained from the sudden form a top of her.
"How long?" Hazel whispered, waiting for her mother to release her.
Marina sat back, giving her a soft smile. "It's been four days, Bella awoke yesterday."
"Are you and Charlie talking again?" Recieving a nod, Hazel smiled and turned to look at Jasper, noticing a slight smile on his lips. "J..."
"He's hardly left as well. I do believe you've got a keeper Haze."
Hazel laughed slightly, squinting her eyes. "What happened?"
"According to that Edward boy, after Bella felll down a flight of stairs and went through a window, you ran after her and fell as well. You broke your arm and busted your skull open. The doctors were surprised you were still alive." Marina hugged Hazel tightly again. "You're so grounded, for as long as I see fit. I don't know what I would've done if you had died."
"I figured mom, I'm sorry." Hazel apologized, she knew full well what had actually occured, and that she would've been dead had she been completely normal.
The sandy blonde haired woman seemed to arouse from her own slumber, looking toward the two girls. "I'm glad you made it through Hazel. We have much to talk about." Her eyes were a deep sapphire blue, and her voice was quite serious.
"I'm sorry, but who exactly are you?"
The woman smiled, "My name is Vivienne, I'm your dad's older sister."
Hazel's eyes widened, she had never been told of her father having an elder sister. "Dad... Had an older sister? I have an aunt?" Taking a closer look at the woman, she realized that there was a small silver strip in the woman's hair. She was undoubtedly a vampire slayer, but Hazel wasn't sure of her intentions.
"Like I said, we've much to talk about. We'll speak more once you let out from school, and your arm heals up." The woman stood, her eyes flitting to Jasper for a moment. "My my, you certainly keep some interesting company." Shaking her head, Vivienne left the room, leaving Hazel confused.
"I'm going to speak to your aunt for a bit, then get myself something to eat. Did you want anything?" Hazel nodded to her mother, she was feeling quite hungry.
"I could use some pizza." Marina nodded in response, leaving the room.
The moment Marina was out of the room, Jasper was at Hazel's side. "You really know how to get an undead man's heart beating again Darlin'." He gently hugged her, shaking his head.
"I'm not sure that's possible J. But I'm glad to see you here." Hazel laughed softly, taking in Jasper's icy hug. "You know, I've ended up in hospitals more times then I'd like." Jasper chuckled this time, carefully pulling away from her.
